ST LTD saddlebag tool - help, please
I have a 2013 ST-LTD, and apparently there's a tool - wrench - key, something, for tightening/removing the saddle bag brackets. I don't know what I'm looking for, but I don't see anything in the toolkit that fits in the triangle shaped hole.
Would someone be so kind as to post a picture of this elusive tool, please? And any tips on where it might be hiding?
Thanks!
p.s. Guess I need to update my avatar photo.

Thank you, it helps to know what I'm looking for - now if I could just find it. I can't blame it on the previous owner because there wasn't one, but maybe I can blame it on the dealer!

It is not in your tool kit because it does not fit in it. Mine was in the white box full of extra stuff that comes with a Limited.

Ok, the box of Garmin and ram mount stuff? Hmmm, wonder what I did with that? I've had this for a year and never wanted/needed to take the saddlebags off before, but we're trying to squeeze it and papa's Harley into a toy hauler for vacation.

I don't think so. I have never seen a triangle shaped one, only square.

When my dealer did a walk-through with me at delivery, he said "oh and here's your toolkit" for that tool.
It wasn't until later I realized "that can't be right" and found the real toolkit.

The tool should have came in the saddle bags when you got your ST Limited. If not I would contact your dealer or check the local hardware store.

Can't you just use the saddlebag key and remove the bags!?
On my RS, the saddlebag brackets don't really add too much width the the Spyder.
There should be 2 key slots on the top of each saddlebag.
the forward most one unlocks the saddlebag so it can be opened.
The rearmost key slot unlocks the saddlebag from the bracket mount.
insert the key turn(direction?)and push down the red button. The bag will lift right off.
The tool needed to remove the bags, came with the saddlebag option.

He is right, the key is all that is needed to take the saddlebags off. The tool is only needed to take the saddlebag brackets off.

Funny how that happens

I have been having that same problem with no resolution. So.......... now I'm reading some forum "stuff" the other day and low and behold, the answer to my problem just appears. Yup, it was in the box.
Thanks to all that post and watch and contribute to this forum. This collective knowledge is priceless.

Have you considered just removing the hard bags and not the brackets? The actual brackets take up very little room.
