Howdy!
Just a quick howdy from Camano Island...
Just rode home from Lifestyles Honda with our new '13 RTS SE5
Traded in my VTX1800. Wifee & I were just not going to ever be comfortable cruising on the VTX for any distance. So we made the move to the Spider-side
Now I just gotta figure out where to take my Trike class.

Congrats on the new bike! Good luck on the trike class. I've given up and am just enjoying the bike on my own. Maybe next year? Maybe AFTER I get my full license? LOL.
Anyway, it was a quick adjustment for me anyway - never haven ridden the front end of the motorcycles in my life, I hadn't adapted all the "bad" habits of such things like leaning to turn the bike, or changing lanes, etc. My hubby is so worried about how to change lanes, and I've never noticed an issue. Got mine just before July 4th, but it spent a few days in getting an oil leak corrected, so Just started riding really on Thursday. I'm already on the highway (Not the interstate yet), and enjoying myself at full speeds.
If I can do it, you can.
Now if it would just cool off enough where I don't think about passing out when I get OFF, I'd be thrilled!

I took my S/TEP class though Pacific Northwest Motorcycle Safety, but they use the Evergreen Safety Council manual Their sites are at the Supermall in Auburn and the Apex Airpark in Silverdale. Both aren't exactly easy for you to get to.
Evergreen seems to only offer their classes in South Seattle and Yakima though. Wish I had better options.
I will admit though I liked my S/TEP class, and it was a kick to be able to ride other rigs as well as the Spyder.

Hi,
Welcome!
Jerry and Loye aka Spyderkidz here. We live up in Bellingham, and hope to see y'all on the road. Ever up this way do stop in and say "hey" and have a cupajoe
Once you have a learners permit you can ride legally with some restrictions
For your endorsement you might try:

Looks like one can just drop in to the Totem Lake Evergreen location without appointment for the written. I'll do that this morn. Then I'll have my 'learners' so I can put a few miles on her legally.
This coming Saturday morn there is skills testing down South Seattle way. If I miss that one the next skills down there isn't until September
Totem Lake's schedule for August isn't posted yet so who knows. That is closest for me but gotta do whatever is required!
