    Default Anybody had......

moisture get behind the glass of the speedo & tach??? Is there a way to clean this up and seal the glass??

Side note----wife and I are experiencing echo with our SMH-10 headsets. Happens when we set behind one another on the spyder. walk about 10 feet
apart and voice is normal. We have done all the updates and released the parings each time. Did not have this problem when we got these. Have tried
twice emailing and twice calling Sena with no answers at all. I am getting pretty disgusted with the lack of support I am receiving from them.

    Anybody got any ideas???

    Thanks,
    Bob

    How old is your bike?
Has it been exposed to unusually wet or humid condtions?

I'd probably try a hairdryer on the gauges first...
Good Luck; please let us know what happens next!

I had a smudge under the plastic on my 2010 and it was driving me crazy. I removed it and tried to clean it off and really only made things worse. It seems like the plastic is treated with something and if you try to wipe it you remove it and make a mess.

This is a 2014 RT-L I am talking about. The moisture left a streak trail inside the glass and if the light is just right I can see it. No, the bike has not been ridden in the rain nor gotten rained on since I purchased it. It resides in the garage at all times.

Any comment on the headset problem???

    Thanks,
    Bob

If it's been kept out of inclement weather; that leaves washing, and humid conditions...
I'd take it back to the dealer, and mention that humid conditions shouldn't cause this to happen...

RTs have had an issue with moisture. Both of ours, 2010 and 2012 have the streaks. Since yours is under warranty, take it back to the dealer. You do not want to remove and disassemble the panel to clean it.

Regarding the echo, you're getting feedback. We have the Scala 9 and they will echo riding two up. We have no issues getting tech support on them.

Courtesy of Lamont. This is what the display looks like in pieces. If you're going to take it apart, be very careful f how you handle the module. A static charge can fry it without you knowing it.

I have the same problem and was not fixable, due to there not a replacement part. If you go to an auto parts store they may know someone that can repair or make a new glass. That IMHO.

Bruiser says you can buy a new part for 20 bucks and you say you can't.

The plastic cover is available as a separate part. Part number is 415129349. BRP refers to it as a lens.

2014 sounds like a warranty deal.

I was told by a dealer the plastic cover was not available. Thanks for the part number. I'm going to order one for the fall when I change to the winter windshield.

    Thanks,
I have the Sena SMH 10 as well and noticed the same problem after the latest update, the echo is annoying.I may just go back to the previous firmware as I had no problems with it also never found any noticeable improvement with the last version. You can go into the Sena device manager and reload any of the previous versions.Hope Sena addresses the issue.

    Default Blue Tooth

We are not using Sena but when the battery is almost empty we are getting an echo, it is a Blue Tooth problem with some devices.

Yep, going in this Friday for my first oil change on the 14. Got 3800 care free miles on it. Called in yesterday to let them know about the moisture issue.

Been a member of the 40+ MPG club for the past 2 months---recorded my first 43+ MPG just a couple days ago. Loving this 1330/SE6 combo!!!
