Default Need to raise right passenger foot rest more....

I finally got the assessment from the physical therapist and orthic pro. To solve my wife's back problem, I need to raise the right hand passenger foot rest one inch higher than the adjustment on the Spyder allows. I know I could just zip tie a board to the existing footrest. But I would like something that is better looking than a zip tie-ed solution.

    I have a 2012 RT-S

I hope someone can come up with a "Why don't you just...." kind of idea.

    Dan,

It looks like you can unbolt the pad and add a spacer under it. If you need help making a spacer let me know.

    Default How handy are you..!!

If there are no aftermarket ones offering greater range then I would remove the floorboard remove the rubber pad mimic the base with a 1" (your choice..aluminum, rubber, wood, plastic etc.) bolt it through the bottom and re-apply the rubber pad. This way if your passenger is other than the wife ( cousin, brother, sister, son well you get it) you just lower to even out...glad they found the solution your a duo once again...

Doesn't seem like they have them for sale yet. The photo of them didn't seem to compliment the Spyder looks very much. I did take a look at my RT and making a 1" spacer for under the pad is very doable.

    JT,
We KNOW that you could come up with something that looks slicker than those ones do...

It's just that they're the "only game in Town..." for now!

But they are not even for sale... I did ask the OP if he wanted my help and he did not respond.

Any thoughts on how to make a good looking 4.5" spacer? Our daughters feet just sort of dangle...
