Default What else am I missing from my tool kit?

I just found out our Spyders come with an included tire gauge! Mine certainly didn't come with that. Now I'm looking to see what else I'm missing, it seems I'm also missing the shock wrench. The pockets where they go are pristine & unswelled, so they were never in there. I also saw a pic where there is a 2nd cylindrical tool (I don't know what either of them do). What else am I missing before I contact my dealer?

It's still noted as "included" in the '14 owner's manual. I agree it's probably junk though. I'm most concerned about what else is missing.

No tire gauge in my 2014 tool kit either. PS--it was junk anyway. There has been an ongoing issue of what is shown in the advertising and what really is happening. BRP always has the "weasel word" clauses in its advertising..."We reserve the right to..."

This forum is one of the places where you can at least get information as to what is really going on.

What about the shock wrench and the two "tube" tools?

    Hi ak,

    >>>>This forum is one of the places where you can at least get information as to what is really going on.

OK, I'll bite. I have a couple of these: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-progr...a=02823020000P

My son-in-law and I tried to use it to check the rear tire pressure on my '08 and the rear wheel sprocket was in the way.

So what do you guys use for checking the rear tire pressure?

    And thanks in advance,

That rear valve stem is pretty flexible... Try coaxing it to an angle that'll allow you to get the gauge on it.
    It IS a two-handed job!
    Good Luck!

I have a gauge with a pre-built hose attached to it. The hose has a fixture that clamps on to the stem and the you can read the pressure at the gauge, add air right thru the gauge, or release pressure at the gauge. When you're done you just reach in and un-clamp it. Works great on the most difficult to reach valve stems

Tools? We don't need no stinkin tools. A large roll of duct tape, bailing wire, and some zip ties. Just like the good old days. Tom

Do you guys have the same tool kit with your '14 as mine or am I missing anything?

    Default Tire guage

I gt one of the gauges that has a round dial and a short hose with the nipple attachment on the end. Able to snake it around all the hardware on the rear tire nicely. I also like that I can reduce the pressure with the little button on the side.

Bump. Can anyone confirm one way or the other whether I'm missing any tools besides the tire gauge. Thanks.

Your kit looks just like mine, if anything is missing it must be missing from all of them, I would say BRP removed the "missing items" as a cost saving measure to help hold the price down because of the improvements to the 14's

Hey they changed it!!! The RT did not show a air pressure and the RS did when I posted that pic. BRP must have figured out their mistake.

Thanks. Very weird. I actually have an additional phillips/torx shaft in my kit than the diagram. How are we supposed to adjust the adjustable coil springs then without the shock wrench - you would think that is one of the few tools you definitely need out on the road. I still never understood what the 2 (now only 1) tubular wrenches are for.

tubuler wrench thingy is spark plug remover if I'm not mistaken. I think 08-12 came with shock adjusters but 13/14 shocks are not adjustable.
