 Comfort Seat on 2012 RT w/Utopia Backrest
I need to get a comfort seat for my 2012 RTL and was wondering if my Utopia Backrest I've got will work on a seat that has a 2" set back. Being 6 ft and 242 lbs it's very uncomfortable on long trips.

I put the Utopia backrest on my BRP comfort seat and it was specific for the comfort seat when I ordered it from Utopia.

I do not think that the Utopia backrest for the stock seat will work on your Comfort Seat. They have two different part numbers for them as does BRP for the new backrests.

You can use the backrest but you will have to order the utopia backrest mounting bracket specifically for the comfort seat. The seat pans are different.

If you are still looking for a comfort seat I just listed my heated one and it should fit your 2012
