I would highly recommend the bumpskid from Spyderpops. He is a sponsor on this forum homepage. Also, I would recommend a third brake light from Custom Dynamics. They are also a site sponsor. Both of these items can be installed yourself with a minimum of mechanical ability. I am in that class!!

Diamond-R Arm Rests
Gloriders
High mount brake light
chrome front fender garnish
Bad Boy Horn
Chrome Deflector Rack
Chrome Scuff Nose Accent
Handlebar Grip Fringe

I also recommend logging some seat time before going to far with the farkleing. I like lights and most of the time I have those installed at set up time. A few more miles later, I then end up making a decision on a seat/backrest set up. Four 's so far have seat and backrest modifications for me.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
If you intend to ride after summer, I recommend heated grips. Had them in my RT and realized how much more comfortable it
is to ride with them in cold weather. Had the dealer install the heated grips when I purchased the STS.
Bob
you will get no end to recommendations but like Bob said get some miles and read here about the difference farkels and mods. Then I suggest you go for those that help with comfort and safety first then move on and on and on and you get the picture..!!

I have a new ST-S. I'm want to get a backrest and perhaps the comfort seat. Not sure if I need the radio or not. Any thoughts on must have upgrades?
Welcome to the world of Can Am.
Stay away from the CONFORT SEAT. I bought one for a few dollars short of 2k installed. Its no better then the seat that came with the bike except for the backrest. Install a backrest on the stock seat.
Do you really need a $1000. radio? I bought a SCALA RIDER radio, the in helmet speakers are a little week but their ok for around town. I have SERISXM for long trips which I will drop in August because the cost will double to renew. They don't tell you that when you first sigh up.
BEEFED UPED ANTI SWAY BAR IS A MUST DO, CROSS WINDS WILL PUSH YOU ALL OVER THE ROAD. BAJARON (don't know if the spelling is right), very easy to install, hardest part is getting the bike 21" off the floor.
I will be installing a Garman GPS TODAY.
Good luck with your new ride, don't be afraid to ask questions, the riders on this site are very helpful.
Before Baja Ron Started making the anti-sway bar I got the Fox Racing Shock and Anti Sway Bar Kit From BRP. A 200.00 upgrade, and let me tell you it Is Well Worth the $$$$. I have to Add that My was all over the road, in a good wind or on the interstate. So I Had to do something.... But Like other posters have said. Ryde for a while before you decide! Have a Blast, and Ryde Safe!!! KUBIE

2013 ST-S SE-5 ("Quick Silver") Is her Name
My Mods: I Have Added the AM/FM Stereo and an Ultimate Seat, with Ryder Backrest, Power Sports wraps." Break Strips" Kit, GloRyders with the Spyder Cap, Fox Racing Shock and Anti- Sway Bar Kit, Spyder Pops Bump Skid, Spyderlighter's LED Running Light Kit With Fender lights. Cal Si Shorty Smoked Windshield, The 2014 Side Panels, Lamonsters Cat Delete, And an Akrapovic Sport Touring Exhaust.
i've been using a st seat for around a year, i think it's way better than the comfort seat.
Same here, Im a bigger guy and had a Comfort Seat on my RSS and it was great, But the seat on my ST SM5 is as good as a Comfort Seat, no question.
Anything to make your passenger feel comfortable is a plus, I have the BRP adjustable.
Clock up some miles before you start doing too much farkling, as you usually end up finding out what you
thought you need is not actually what you need.
I will probably get shot down for this, I have the Fox Shocks and Stock Swaybar and i am very happy with the ride, I used to have Fox Shocks and 15mm Swaybar on my RSS, and my opinion is the ride between the two is reasonably close.
