    Default gas mileage???

I have a 2013 RT that I just got. Took my first good ride today and ran from Kansas city down to Springfield and back Saturday. Figured my gas mileage and not good. I ran with cruise on but the best I could get is 26.8 mpg. Is this good? Will it improve after the initial 600 miles are done? Suggestions? I run with wings and Valkyries so need to be at least up around 30. Is that possible? Thanks.

Gas varies with your riding. I average 29 mostly on my 2012 RT SE 5

drove from augusta ga, to atlanta friday in my '13 st limited, without saddle bags on. kept above 100 the whole way. mileage was about 13 so yeah dont do that. was a fun ride though...

should have taken my bmw s1000rr, since i went so fast... was supposed to be a nice cruise ride, turned out to be a balls to the wall drive. live and learn.

    Default Varies..!!

our RS gets an average 33 mpg with low 27 and as high as 40. All has to do with loads weather roads weight gasoline etc. Usuallt you will get better as you get more use. Mine keveled out around 3,000 miles. Don't let this bother you, I'm sure you didn't buy your roadster to save on gas...!!

Thanks for all the input. It's true I didn't get it for the gas mileage. Will give it some time and hopefully will get better. It is fun and I love it so better mileage or not it's mine!!!

I'd say that's about the avg. for the pre 1330's. May be better on long trip. Tom

I have a 2013 RT L and have gotten anywhere from 26 to 32 with a little less than 3,000 miles on the machine.

These bikes are about as aerodynamic as "Barn Doors"...
The harder you push them; the harder the fuel pumps push back...

    (2014 RT-L: last fill-up was for a 205.9 mile range; took 5.492 gallons: 37.5 mpg!)

I have a 2013 RTL and get between 30 - 32 mpg. I just bought a trailer so I am wonering how that will effect the milage. I will see
when after I get the lights to work on the trailer.

    Default gas mileage???

I've got a 2010 RTS SE5, and use an app to track my gas usage. See pics. Have been putting in only 100% gas (no ethanol) over the last 8 months or so. Overall average is 33.75 mpg.

    No complaints whatsoever!

After my 2000 mile round trip to SF2014 pulling my miniusatrailer I was averaging 26 MPG. At times 75 to 85 was not uncommon in keeping up with traffic on I24 & I40

2013 RT SE5 with near 4000 miles on it. I average 26.2 MPG at best using a fuel app to track it.

My low fuel light comes on at 100-110 miles. There are no bars showing at all by 125 miles. Then the stress of possibly running out of fuel sets in, even though I could probably make it to 150 miles on a tank, and I start looking for a gas station. I fueled up today after a 2 hour ride with no bars showing and at 129 miles traveled and the tank took 5.4 gallons before clicking off. Superb.

When I see people driving around in those Mini Cooper, Fiat, and Smart cars that they paid half what my Spyder cost getting 50-80 MPG it's all I can do to keep from grinding the teeth right out of my head.

I used to get around 40-50 MPG on my Hondas. Yup.

Mine's an RS which I imagine would be smidgen lighter than ST & RT models. I've only had mine a month, but in over 1,200 miles I've had between 36mpg and 32mpg on each tankful.

True... But they're in cages; you're on a Spyder!

They don't get 50-80 mpg either... My Missus has a MINI; she gets 37 mpg with it. I can match her with the new 1330...

Sonny-boy has a Fiesta... he gets 49 mpg with that little tin can...

My Dodge Ram crew cab with a Hemi gets 17 in town and 23 on the highway. My prostreet Mustang gets 9-10 mpg. So when we ride the 14 RT and get high 30's and low 40's we are pretty happy.

I have started to use pure gas, no ethanol. Last tank all around town 32 mpg. The tank before all highway from Hooper Utah to Heber City Utah, 38 mpg. Last year on a group ride I got a high of 42 mpg and a low of 28 mpg. Most of the time I'm in the mid 30s mpg. My ride is a 2012 RTs manual trans. The mileage is not much different than my former GL1800. Both of my sons have VTX 1800s, my mileage is better than theirs. I usually get between 160 to 170 miles before the low fuel light comes on.i have modified the stock muffler by removing the muffler portion at the rear of the muffler. The sound is good and my mileage improved after the mod.

    Default Mileage on '13 Spyder

I've put gas in my new '13 RTS SM5 3 times now. First tank I got 44mpg, but that was all highway coming home from the dealer, with about a 30mph tailwind the entire time, so I don't really count that one. Second tank - 25.8mpg. And the third, 31.5mpg.
