Yep! Did it twice I have a 2010 RS and a 2013 RTS. I did not ride either one before I put my name on the dotted line. No regrets here

I bought my original one when I saw a picture of it while getting my jet ski serviced. No regrets.

Of course now there are different models to consider and they are quite different in how they handle. I have tried to fall in love with the RT but just could not come to grips with the handling of it. So riding an RT kept me from buying one and I am glad I took that test drive as I am pretty sure I would have been unhappy with a purchase.

Then you add in the new 2014 and I suspect that that is a way different animal from the original RS/GS.

With all of the year models and different models to chose from, I believe that a test drive is a wise choice. They are all fun, I am sure, but which one is going to fit your needs the best is a question that should be answered.

I won't buy any vehicle without a test drive or demo. It's kind of like buying shoes without trying them on and walking around in them first. I'm just stuck in my ways but that's how it has to be for me.

For the amount of $ I'm going to shell out for one.....I will definitely try it first. There are too many styles for me not to try and get the right 'fit'.

    Default First bike

I had been looking for a motorcycle for me for a while, after not wanting to ride biotch any more. Since I'm vertically challenged at 5'2", and need three wheels for medical issues, it was challenging to say the least. A friend introduced me to the wonderful world of Spyderhood, and luckily, the dealer is only about 15 miles from my house. I made a trip there on a vacation, and Smurfette (my 2010 RT-AC+ SE-5) came home a few days later. I had never even driven so much as a dirtbike before. Didn't even test drive a Spyder. Got bit just by sitting on one! No regrets, dealt with the first model year growing pains, and now Smurfette and I are inseparable! I made a leap of faith, and follwed my heart! Free on three!!

Default bob all i'm getting on your vid is a black bear at midnight

and yes I am one of those that bought without trying.. if I had I would not have bought.. 2012 semi auto.... first time out, the machine got it's bluff on me.. i'm 66 .. been riding motorized 2 wheels since I was 12.. LOTS of undoing to do.. I tried to sell this right after I bought it. after scaring the ***t out of myself.. no takers.. so It still sits in the garage with less than 20 miles.. going to put a baja ron bar on.. a pit bull shock re-locator .. and do everything that need to be done so it doesn't catch on fire and melt..

I know eventually --- I will enjoy this machine...

why did i buy? I found it intriguing .. a challenge... if it had a steering wheel on it.. or at least a go - cart butterfly.. I could work it better.. the handlebars throw me for a loop

That is how I bought Ms Spyder my 2010 RT...never saw in person or sat on...just had delivered and then the fun began. Also just bought a new '14 and have never seen one other than in pictures until Randy showed up at my house a couple weeks ago on his '14. Still haven't sat on one yet....but soon, very soon.
