    Default Pastic Bonding Resin?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a plastic bonding resin that I can use to repair the left rear lower rocker panel? The Spyder slipped off of the floor jack that I had under the main frame member, and when it landed, had cracked the black lower plastic panel. It isn't one of the painted body panels, although I have a couple of cracks on mounting tabs that have happened during other mods and repairs.

Don't know how visible the area you are repairing is but Automotive GOOP has been the most durable glue that I have used for plastic repairs. I've fixed lots of things including the headlight mounting tabs in my $40K truck

The glue is clear but it's not invisible.

    Thanks,

I'll look for it. For the most part the cracked area lies behind another surface panel so yes its not an "in your face" type of damage.

    Default Old school..!!

never found a glue that would hold on a clean crack. The new ones I haven't tried and may work well. I always heated up a piece of fine mesh and let it melt into the pastic. Then covered the patch with JB weld or similar product. Can be a back up plan...

    Default glue

I've used Gorilla glue on plastic. Put a thin backing plate (plastic or thin metal) on the back of the crack and glue that to the panel. Can't see it and very strong.....hope this helps

How about ABS cement? I have a tab that needs repair on one of the side panels.

Default reviving an old thread with some new information

Here's how the Ninja 250 Riders Club fixes their broken ABS panels. I broke off a tab from the rear panel, so I'm glad to have found this nice little guide to ABS panel repair.

I use this stuff. Works great. Even on ABS plastic.
You can some of the fiberglass mesh for wall board joints and this becomes incredibly strong.
