Tried them or similar on my Raptor without much success but then the tyres i had on weren't the greatest so they may well work on the Spyder, nae much help mate but might be worth a try if you cant get your wheels balanced

    Default Dynabeads

Have had great luck with Dynabeads. Seems to smooth things out. Anything to make it ride better is worth a try. Our 14 had 12 wheel weights on it! 12! Crazy! JMHO, Joe

    Default beads

Dyna beads work great in: motorcycles, trucks, RV,s cars, here is one of the web sites:

    http://www.innovativebalancing.com/index.php

they adjust the balance I had them for the 30 K miles I put on the victory vision. Good for the tire during the life of it.

Ride-on has made a vibration at about 39 to 48 not real happy wont do it on the next set of tires. That was the only thang I changed an it has never gone away in 4000+ miles. Only did the front tiers.

I use dynabeads in my 2 wheeler. When I change the 2 front tires I will be putting beads in as well. To sporatic on the reviews with Ride On to try.

I have Dyna Beads in the rear tire of my GS...the dealer put them in without asking me first. Ride On can't be used with Dyna Beads in the tire!

I have Ride On in all of the rest of my tires (fronts on GS, all 3 on RTS) and I really like that stuff. I haven't had any problems with it.

Number One: 2008 Yellow GS SM5. I love my Spyder.
Number Two: 2012 RT-S Limited (the poop colored RT) I still have Number One, but Some Girl made me buy Number Two...

I 've used both on my cruisers and can't tell much difference in the ride but the ride on is easier to use.
Also the dynabeads can get stuck in your valve stems.

Do these beads affect the inside of your wheel or tire from them moving around?

Yes the beads can get stuck in the tire valve, so I just put some air in the tire before checking the pressure to clear the valve. Otherwise very happy with them.

I have never had a problem with them but I always make sure the valve is on the bottom half when I ck the pressures.

Am I reading this thread wrong or are you the only one that has had issues w/ this product?

Some swear by the beads, some hate them. Same thing for Ride-On. You always have to wonder about installation (correct amount, correct version, etc.).

I've tried dynabeads and had no luck (not in my Spyder). I've used Ride-On in all my Spyder tires with very good results. I do get the 'Bump' when I've let my Spyder sit for long periods but it goes away pretty quickly except in cold weather (takes longer).

I would not discourage anyone on the beads based on my experience because others have had success. I like the added feature of puncture repair with Ride-On.

One thing about Ride-On. You need to use the car tire version, not the motorcycle tire mix. Makes sense because the Spyder uses car tires, not motorcycle tires. You need to add the correct amount. And Ride-On will only correct for a certain amount of 'Out-of Balance'.

It's best to have your tires balanced and then add Ride-On for optimum effect. But I've been able to get great balance by just taking the wheel weights off and running Ride-On.

That was top info Ron, I am having the wheels coated, so I really wanted to take the weights off, so I think I'll go Ride-on, because, I also like the thought of additional puncture protection.

Some great info guys. cheers all.

I tried the DynaBeads in my 2012 RT Ltd (when it was new) to fix a constant vibration with no success. A careful tire balance job on the front tires fixed the problem after the beads were removed. Want some free beads?

I have used the ride-on in my fromt tires on the RS its not bad except when its cold takes a little time to worm up. I have ridden 12,000 miles and no problems getting ready to put a new tire on the rear and will use the ride-on in it also. jtpollock
