I don't own one of these yet, but I've been researching for a while and think this is what I'm going with. I need mine to take up as little room as possible and this one stands on end. It also doesn't need any other ramps. The tail drops (hence the name) allowing for bottom clearance and easy loading. The only drawback I can see is there is no debris deflector for the front end. http://www.droptailtrailers.com/stre...y-trailer.html
Saw those. My gripe was that I wanted some sort of sand/rock/salt guard on the front.

Have had two of these. Great choice if you don't go the enclosed route. And they do have a model with a rock guard.

Thanks for the Heads-up on the stone shield. I had no idea that existed. for 3bills, it's definitely gunna end up on my trailer! And I think the Spyder looks great sitting up there!!!

Try using " Tie Down Ratchet Strap" The company name is" Discount Ramps" they have different types. Ebay # 310915970813 This strap REALLY WORKS I used the strap to hold my 2012RTS-SE5 on a Snowmobile trailer.
Blueknight911 ( mike) by mistake hit a toll booth pole with his trailer with my Spyder on the back of his trailer. And my spyder did not move. The strap is very Strong. The strap was the only thing keeping my spyder on the trailer. Good luck
We bought the Ultimate Trailer. We have trailered our bike many times with this trailer and it handles beautifully. The best part is no ramps. Just drive it on and off. No problem parking in hotels as long as you take precautions to lock the trailer and bike.
From your own personal experience what is the best way to tow a Spyder RT limited behind a vehicle? I have a new 2014 and would like to know what is the best type of trailer to use when towing the bike? I want to make sure that I can tightly secure it and not damage the front when riding the bike on or off the trailer. Also are there any parking issues with the bike on a trailer I should be aware of?
To each is own on this one...but I got my needs fulfilled with a 7' x 10' enclosed trailer with pulldown rear door/ramp and 3,500# axle for $2,200 including state sales tax. I put four one inch D rings in each corner to secure my Spyder from sliding about and it works like a charm...smoky
Let's put it this way; a 6x10 single-axle trailer can do the job...
But a Vee-nose, enclosed, double-axle 6x12, or even 6x14, with a nice long ramp, will do it even better...
(Assuming that you've got the vehicle to tow it!)
There are some very complete instructions right in the owner's manual, on how to secure the bike when trailering...
I have a hallmark 6x12 enclosed trailer there's only an inch clearance in doorway. Looking for 7x12 trailer now. It worked fine for the harley.
I have a 7x12 6ft high single axle enclosed v-nose United trailer. Side door, 4 circuit breaker panel, two 110 outlets, and florescent fixtures down the top 10 feet plus 2 12 volt lights. I choose a single axle because it is easier to maneuver with my garden tractor from Sears. I brought it to spyderfest and had Wrapaholic put a Lion on the back ramp. I also put in spyder clamps so that I didn't have to tie down, and screw up the front end ailment. they work great and I'm in and out in minutes.

BAD idea...
Dragging the tail, has all sorts of parts spinning that need lubrication...
Something that is missing, when the engine isn't running!
i agree with you about towing it front end off the ground and no lubrication being moved, but what i was thinking is the trailers that U HALL rents and if you remove the drive belt from the rear wheel so that the wheel spins freely than i think it is a done deal for towing
