Picked up my new 2015 rt limited Friday and Sunday had 250 km on it, brought speed up to over 70 mph vibrates a lot under acceleration and letting of throttle brought it up to 100 mph no vibes, went to the dealer this moring tried another one with 10000km almost no vibes, they checked the belt tension and said it was inconsistant in different spots they ordered a new sprocket they think it maybe oval a bit causing different tension as it rolls, they already changed a previous one and said it was fine after, hope it helps
2014 RTL,I bought it in July 2015,and felt same vibration. Discussed with two different dealerships and told that the vibration is nature of the beast, part of the 1330 design characteristics.
ours was vibrating at 80 mph up.. just turned 4000 on 2015 RT
.. Had it down to install trailer hitch. I left the rear wheel off the ground and set belt to 3/4 twist. sat it on the ground and it was closer to 5/8 twist. Took it out and ran it up to 90 mph.. no vibration at any time.. under load or even under power in to high a gear.. I checked the belt travel is about 1 1/4 at mid point.. It is definately a lot looser than when it came from the dealer.. We have not had it 2up yet.. but will and if any noticable difference, I will report..A comment like it is what it is, is not an answer..
Hi,
sounds like you changed the wave length of the belt. And in doing so might have canceled out the initial vibration. Like you added an extra wave. Something like the DOLBY noise canceling headphones. You might have found the answer that folks have been putting up with for years. The boys back at CAN AM might be interested in your findings. I know I am. Good Luck,
Ron
I have not experienced the vibrations yet on my 2014RTS-SE6. Deanna

Anyone else feeling a vibe around 70 to 80? Sometimes its lower 70s, sometime upper 70s to 80. It goes away with a little more speed. Feels different from the vibration I had on the 2011. Feels more like its coming from the engine. I will try to see what RPM it is when its doing it. Hopefully I can ride it this afternoon and tomorrow. Just seeing if anyone else is noticing it.
I have a F3s and I had that problem, then I bought a Smooth Spider and it does not do it any more.

I had the same vibration, I put a smooth spyder on my f3 and no more vibration.

....With Schnauzer, I also run a loose belt and don't notice any vibes from belt.......I also don't worry about the Shaft bearings seizing either ........Mike

I can't explain the possible reasons why, but my 2015 F3-S has a vibration at certain RPM, not MPH...between 3700-4000 RPM. Above 4000, it suddenly disappears. So far, the ride enjoyment overshadows the vibration!
I was getting a vibration above 70 mph and adjusting the belt fixed that... BUT I have another vibration that is worse, and is RPM related.... does it in 4th , 5th and 6th gears between 3450 and 3900 RPM... I would not think this is belt related because it happens at 3 different belt speeds....
The bike feels and sounds like it is running over rumble strips at those RPM....
I never felt vibrations on my 2008 GS SM5 or my 2011 RT-S SE5 with the 990 Rotax, but yesterday when out riding my 2015 F3-S SM6 with the 1330, I noticed a vibration between about 68 and 72 mph in 6th gear, and at a slightly slower speed in 5th gear, but not quite as noticeable. Once I got it up over 73 to 75 mph, it went away. Kind of annoying. I think it's more RPM related, not MPH related. Just seemed worse in 6th gear.
Should I be getting my belt tension checked? I have just over 1,200 miles on it.
rock the throttle and move past the vibration. Not rocket science.
Tricky to do when riding with a group and the speed limit is 70 mph. I was running sweep yesterday on the freeway and kept hitting the vibration zone. To roll through it meant I was going too fast to match pace with the group. A bit annoying.

I had the same vibration in the 65+ to the 75ish range. I installed the SmoothSyder belt tensioner and I have very little vibration now. It worked for me. Why, I don't know, but it did! (2015 F3-S SE6)
Put a smooth tensioner on it and problem solved .I had to do it because it was driving me crazy .Its upsetting that BRP would sell a product that had an issue of this magnitude .
I find it interesting that the vibration is blamed on the belt--especially since I can get same vibration while parked by just revving the engine in the mid 3K to 4K rpm range. I will admit that the belt tension roller does reduce part of the vibration but I believe the tension rollers just remove part of the vibration caused by the engine. A looser belt also provides a lower conduction path to the rider.

Never have experienced vibrations on my 2014 RT sm6. But I never go over 65 mph, most of the time 55-58. I've always been that way. I just like to Cruise. A great day for me is all back roads and 35-45 mph all day. And because I'm so lite on the throttle, my last 5 tanks netted me 41.2 mpg on 91 octane, ethonol free.
