The poor Elio has been kicked around in here eough to warrant it's own Area...
I think that we're all waiting to see if they can deliver what they've promised... and I hope that they do!

Yet more..!!
about the Elio...but always steps forward and backwards and never getting any closer. They have new prototypes for models they never build. The question on everyones mind is will they make it or not..?? For all the coverage the odds are against them coming out with it the way they advertised it.

Elio, reminds me of...
Another was/is E-cycle, a hybrid motorcycle that's been in still-born development for about six years or so if you're to believe their website. First it was going to be a hybrid diesel naked sportbike that was to get 180 mpg, then kind of re-invented itself as a clunky looking gasoline hybrid using what looks like a lawn mower engine. The bike has never ever made it's way to market but the website just keeps on going.

I will give Elio a chance to win and make a US built 3 wheel vehicle. The critics are judging to early. I already got inside the Elio in Seattle and I can say it's unbelievely roomy and the back seat also good. I will wait and see before I'll put my money down.

This quote from the attachment says it all:
They just raised $7 million for the endeavor. Now all they need is another $193 million to complete the task and, by their estimation, bring 1,500 jobs to an area that was hit hard by the closing of the GM plant during the Carpocalypse.

I for one would love to see any new plant open up that is going to employee as many people as they say they would need. Times are still tough and any help for the unemployed, that's not a hand out, I will support.
Ride safe and ride often.
