Finally hit 25K this afternoon on my way home from work!!
She's a 2012 RSS(se5) with a heli-bar riser, 25" windscreen with side air deflectors, BRP backrest/deck plate, fog lamps, Hindle exhaust, and handle bar gauntlets (when it's cold)
For her reward she will be getting an oil change, new tires all around, radiator flush and some new bearings in the rear.
Things encountered along the way:
Changed rear tire at 9000 (installed a Kumho)
Currently have 16,000 on the Kumho (needs changing)
Front tires are original (need changing)
Gone through 3 sets of plugs and wires (have used oem and after market)
Ignition coil failed at about 17,000 miles
Changed brake pads at 23,000 (could have gone farther)
I hate the original seat but after 25,000 miles I either broke it in or my backside is permanently numb!
The original muffler crapped out at 23,500 miles. Dealer warranteed me the Hindle exhaust at no extra charge (now it sounds like a sewing machine with attitude instead of just a sewing machine)
On 100 degree days she gets to be a little warm on the legs, but in MN I don't worry about it too much
You could say that I've been extremely happy with her! She's a keeper!!
I just thought I would throw this little tidbit out there for you.
If I could hold you to 10 posts a day I will be able to match the number of your posts to my mileage on Sunday January 12th 2014 where you would have 30,686 Posts And I should have 30,686 miles!
on the 25K milestone, don't forget to send a picture of your mileage to BRP for your 25K pin. I getting close myself at 22, 500 on my 2010 RS that I bought 2 years ago.
