    Default Frunk toggle switch

About 2 weeks ago, my toggle switch for my Frunk stopped working. The parking brake engages fine... But when I press down on the ffrunk toggle switch, it does nothing. It will open fine with the key. The rubber lining is iin the right place, the latch closes just fine. Has anyone had this problem before, or are there any possible suggestions or fixes? It's a 2010 RT-S by the way...

When you stand in front of your Spyder with the frunk open just to the left of center at the top of the frunk there is a switch ,a small flat metal strip that when you push down on it you should here a click. Is it there, is it bent, does it click .

Yes, it is there and it is flat. I will check on the clicking sound when I get off this afternoon. I know that yes terday the plug that goes into thatmetal prong had came loose. I took some needle nose and pushed it back snug though, thinking that may fix the problem. Didn't have any luck though

My '13 has been to the dealer 2x as they tried to figure out what is wrong. They now have the switch on order. Hopefully if will be here soon but the last part took almost 6 weeks.

Mine did that and the dealer adjusted it. Strange part is I couldn't hear anything click, but they said it was a stretched cable and an adjustment did the trick.

Had a "thingy" break that control that toggle. My dealer ordered in and they fixed...$75 but I have BEST warranty so it was a $50 (deductible) fix.

I had the same problem with my 2010 RTS. It was the switch and it was replaced under warranty. I also have the same exact problem with my new 2013. These switches must not have a very good quality control. As was said earlier, if your warranty has expired you will have to eat the costs.

Position Sensor - P/N 710001861 - MSRP $14.49 ...if the problem is the trunk microswitch. Hard to estimate the labor...depends on the dealer.
