Well I've been struggling with the decision to trade the RS-S in on a new 2014 Street Glide since returning from our trip to Arkansas. I went ahead and pulled the trigger today and brought the new bike home. I wanted to say a big thank you to the forum members here for being such a great group of people. Y'all are truly some of the best forum members I have experienced in all my years! So ride safe and I hope to see you around from time to time and I'm sure I will still pop in to check the latest and greatest news!
I have two bad wrists from when I broke them in my younger days riding four wheelers. The riding position on the RSS with my weight on my wrists was really hurting me especially on long rides. That with a combination of missing the leaning affect on bikes and a few quirks of the spyder just made me think the time was right. I knew I was going to take a hit on the spyder since I just bought it 4 months ago but the dealer gave me $13,000 and I paid $15,400, of course I lost my TTL on the spyder but I did get some tax break for trading it in. Anyway here are a few pictures of the new bike as requested, and no the stain on the ground is not from my new bike...lol .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ............SG1.jpgsg2.jpgsg3.jpgsg4.jpg

I hear you on the feet and the hand brake...lol... I had to ride around an empty parking lot for 3 or 4 minutes when I left the dealer just to get my feet back under me. Slow speed maneuvers on a big bike are the hardest so I had to get a good feel of the friction zone and do a little torque brake slow speed turns to let it all come back to me. Before the spyder I had been bike less for about 4 years so there was a lot of rust to knock off...lol

Hate to see you leave the spyderhood but glad you got something that works better for you. Does your brother still have his spyder?

As you know he had both the HD and Spyder but he decided he preferred the HD and sold the Spyder. That was a small factor in my decision as well since I ride with him 75% of the time.
