we spoke this morning on the phone, with some of the problems we are having and people loosing the use of their bikes for days or even a week or more i personally think BRP should tell the dealers to give us a loaner bike to use when our bikes are held up for warranty work

BRP would need to provide those as demos, then at an appointed mileage, sell them cheaper as demos. That's what car dealers do.
I wouldn't want to buy a new Spyder w 1500 miles...unless it was a demo at a good discounted price.
It is expensive for a manufacturer to do that, I don't see it happening.

many of the dealers either rent or have demo bikes that i feel brp can tell the dealer to give out as a loaner and brp pick up the tab on the loaner to the dealer. it doesn't have to be the same bike we now have but one we can ride when ours are being fixed under warranty. my dealer rents the sts and i would use till mine is fixed

Answer my email about a year long unresolved problem
Have sent a couple emails detailing my problem and asking for assistance. Got one reply asking if my last trip to dealer solved it, to which I replied on 11 Sep '14 that it did not.
Nothing further heard..............

All you people must have bigger dealers than we have in our minuscule metropolitan area.

I wonder how this thread is going on other forums?

I sent my survey in today. Overall the only thing that has kept me from attempting legal action is the local dealership. They have bent over backwards to address of all my concerns. Not sure this will get BRP to be responsive but I hope they take the time to read the replies. Glad to hear that there are many satisfied 2013 RT Limited owners. I have suggested that they provide an incentive to 2013 RT Limited owners to trade for 2014 RT Limiteds. Doubt that my suggestion will go far. But it did feel good to vent.

No, most dealers use recent trade ins for loaners. Some contract with commercial rental fleets. Does adding a few thousand miles to a used bike really cost them much? Just maintenance. Its a very worthwhile good will gesture that the better car companies learned long ago.

Done, fortunately my dealer is good and will provide a loaner if my Spyder is there more then one day.

Wow, like I said, you must be in a much larger area than me. I can't see them ever doing that here.

I was referring to car dealers, not Spyder dealers. You surely have a Ford or Lincoln dealer in your area. They provide loaners. Its corporate policy and included with Lincolns, extra cost option on Ford (its called first day rental coverage). But ALL dealers have to provide. I know Lexus and several other companies do the same.

Just submitted my survey. I would hope that BRP takes the responses seriously and can come up with solutions quickly. I've submitted surveys in the past where you never see anything change. The real key is what will BRP do with the information and how quickly can BRP provide solutions based on what they've read. Talk is cheap. I think BRP will really gain some credibility with users who are seeing problems if they act and fix the issues.

I think you will eventually see some credible 'fixes' for the current issues. The original Spyders had some serious issues (including mine). It took awhile but BRP got them fixed. A good fix takes time. Quick fixes usually have unintended, negative consequences.
My feeling is, BRP is taking this survey to better quantify the good and the bad so that they can work to improve both.

serious thought
how many of us that are having problems would trade in their bikes for the new bikes if we were offered a nice incentive from BRP. i understand this would be a big loss for the company, but if they understand that some bikes are having really bad heat issues along with ball joints, hemi links, front shocks, boiling gas, bad smell of gas, fires, melted master cylinders and melted canister's, etc...and the people that own them like me, are really upset with their bikes and have spent money and time trying to make our bikes right, would make the deal if offered from BRP.
I FOR ONE WILL DO IT. WHO ELSE WOULD.
just a thought

Look how we got the '14 RT with the bigger engine, etc, etc. If the new RT turns out as good as it appears to be, BRP must have taken our previous requests seriously.
