Nice incentives for 2013 Spyders - should I wait for 2014 specs b4 buying
I was looking at buying a 2013 since Can-Am is offering $3K off the RT and a good discount on the ST as well. They are also offering an extra year of warranty coverage. This deal ends after Labor Day so I'm trying to decide if I should jump on this. I wanted to see what the specs are for '14, I've waited this long to buy a Spyder so what's one more year.
I really want an ST but I wonder about gas mileage and reliability and I've read people complain about other issues.
Thanks in advance for any advice, tips, etc...

Those incentives are good but the '14's are to be announced in september. I'd wait to see what changes are made. I hear that the heat management has been greatly improved on the 14's. Although mine is a 2010 and I've never had any serious heat problems. It is like any other motorcycle in that regard, they all produce heat and It's gotta go somewhere.
Happy Spyderlovers

I'd wait to see if they have all the quirks from the 2013 rectified before I'd get the 2014..Seems as though the ST releases for 2013 are plagued with problems, bearings, heat, more. I think this happens with any new release but they get the problems worked out fast. I'm staying with my 09 GS that I've modified to my complete satisfaction..Don't wanna change when the machine is running perfectly.

Thanks for all the advice - really appreciate it.
I should mention that a local dealer is selling his remaining 2013's at invoice plus the rebate. Do dealers discount these, I've only seen 1. How often does Can-Am run deals? They were offering 2K off the RT and now it's 3K plus the extended warranty.

This close to introduction time, I would recommend holding off until you see what 2014 has to offer. If the 2014's are not what you want, there should be some good deals on 2013's, 2012's etc. I purchased a brand new 2011 RT A&C in July of 2012, saved a couple thousand, got a good trade in, and am very happy with the even though it was two years old (model year) when I purchased it.
RE: 2013's There has been a lot written and said about the 2013's. That is a decision you will have to make. I have an opinion--but will leave that unspoken.
Lots of choice if you are not in a big hurry. Good luck on your hunt.
