I've been ryding a Spyder (RS) for over 2 years now. I have heard all the usual questions, plus some pretty strange remarks. I bought a 2013 RTS and my first trip was to the owner's event in Maggie Valley. I left MV Saturday morning to return home to south Georgia (6 hours). I was ryding alone and really enjoying the trip, but I knew I wanted to get home before dark. Every time I stopped, people would swarm around and ask me questions and make comments. More so than usual. Maybe it was because a woman riding by herself made the machine stand out more. Who knows. I got to the point that I would have to say "I'm sorry but I really need to get back on the road. I have a long trip." This was an observation I wanted to share and this seemed like a good thread to do so. (I wish I had a hundred dollar bill for every time, on this trip, I told someone, "It's a Canam Spyder, built by BRP." I would have several payments in the bank.

I heard most of them on my first ride. Also I hear "Can Am huh, who makes it?"

I had just taken delivery of my 2013 RT Limited last month. I pulled out of the dealer's parking lot and was at a stoplight just a few blocks away when a truck pulled along side me. The driver looked and looked and looked, then he said, "How do you like it?" I said, I just bought it and it has 3 miles on it. He then said, "So it's new, how do you like it?" I said I like it, if I didn't, I would not have bought it. Then the light turned green and we went our different directions. People are funny and curious, which makes the world a great place and riding fun.

Just the other day on the Natchez Trace we had a lady do a perfect imitation of "CanAm" My wife and I looked around to see if someone was filming it.

the funniest one i got yet was from a little old lady (80 years old or so) coming out of the local a&p grocery store and she looked at me and said, "seen them on commercials. that's one of them red spyders isn't it? sure looks like fun, but i'd never ride on one!" wished i'd had the wifes helmet cause i think she was hitting on me!!!

Spot-on with video. Had a lady follow me into the grocery store last week, she caught me by the peaches. Gave me the, "how do you like that..." question which, other than the "what is that..." question is the most common. Funny but I got the "Caaaaannnn-Aaaammmm?" from a neighbor on Sunday. :-)

As a new owner I too have had almost all these questions! What a crack up!

A few questions missing:
I was along side a older Harley rider heading up to meet Steve on my first "twisties" ride. He asked me if that thing handled well as he heard it was impossible to steer these things. I told him no issues here!

Another question I got was when I was parked at a store. Guy walked up and said "Doesn't that thing steer with the rear wheel?"
