Put tin foil around the fuse and you will find the short.
    JUST KIDDING..............
Sound like a short, could be in the wiring or the radio. Some models had problem with water damage in radio unit, maybe thats it.

But it does indicate a serious malfunction.

Where did the sparks come from?

Just a tip - you'll get better results if you confine your question to one thread
Sparks came from touching the new fuse to the place you insert the fuse.

Sorry, I posted the second because I didn't know if I should start a new one about dead short.

    Default Mosites is the dealer.

That kind of an issue could cause a fire

If you bought it at Stillers I think they are open today.
I bought it at Mosites Motorsports in Irwin / Greensburg. I think they are almost 50 miles from my house. Do you think it is safe to ride?

The fuse would power the wiring that connects the radio. So if there is a short, that is why the fuse blows because of an overload and it is for your protection. I would ride, but don't turn on any accessories until your dealer has looked at it. It could be a bad radio.

Thanks! I sent them an email. They don't open until 10am. I figured I had better cover my butt with a call just in case there would be a problem. BLAH....There goes my plans for riding. Well, maybe the Harley will have to come out. Now hope I don't forget I am on two wheels instead of three...

You already posted this elsewhere. Easier to get answers if you stick to just one spot. See your dealer!
