 Tree Sap
I have a spot of tree sap on my new vented windshield. Does anyone have a miracle solution for me, please.

Don't use anything alkaline or abrasive. I'd try Plexus, Dawn dish soap, Goo-Gone, Go-Jo hand cleaner, or WD-40 (in an inconspicuous place first), or maybe even just real hot soapy water.

Turtle Wax bug and tar remover. Get the sap pretty warm first by letting the Sun hit it for awhile. Then put a paper towel soaked in the above product. Don't rub let it soak. Then using a soft cloth with more product gently wipe it off. It may take several applications.

I had some tree sap on my fender and used a heat gun to heat up the tree sap to remove it. I had the heat gun on a low settings.

Sorry to hear the news.
The above is probably the best route.
If you need external heat for this, I'd suggest a hair dryer instead of a heat gun.
There's less likelihood of doing thermal damage if you use a hair dryer.
We should get together some time soon.
For a change, let's try riding together without the monsoon.

Sorry about the comment about letting it sit in the sun to warm up! I just realized that you live in Ct! LOL Here in the Sunny South we have Sun, Heat and all that goes with it, no need for heat guns or hair dryers too humid and hot!

I have a cottage in Ontario, Canada that has pines that are 100 feet tall, we have shelters to park under to help with the sap problem, but if you don't park under them, well you get the picture, I remove the sap with boiling water, use gloves and hold a rag over the sap and soak the rag, repeat this until the sap softens, then wipe it off , might have to do this a few times but it always works for me.

Tree Sap
Best method is crisco or butter. We have used it for years to get it off our hands, feet, cars, etc... Works great !

Tree Sap
I use to cut wood to heat my house with and often would get tree sap on my hands.
I would first scrub with cooking oil on my hands then use dish washing liquid to remove the oil.......VVVUUUUUWWWWWAAAAALLLLLLAAAAAAAAAA Spick N Span clean like a babies bottom
