    Default Reverse/signal light while riding

This past weekend while on a long ride , my 2010 rs sm5 start flashing the reverse/signal lights on the dash, not the outside signals while I was riding . I notice it more in 4th gear than in 5th. But went away when I put a little pressure on the shifter, I believe it must be a losse connection on a reverse sensor. Any idea where it could be at? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

    Default Don't know..!!

for sure but I don't think this is a readily accessible item. May have to take it to the dealer. If its a wiring issue you will have to trace the wire path. If a contact issue you have to remove the sending unit.. Good luck more info to come...

I would take a look at the GPS (Gear Position Sensor). It could be loose or bad.

That would be my first guess, too.

It is installed into the side of the engine/transmission. You could change it yourself, but it is really a job best left to the dealer. He can make sure it is your problem, and assure that it is correctly installed. If you are capable of this type of work, I'd suggest you get a shop manual to guide you. They are available on DVD or in print.
