Spyderquest 2013 *****Official Thread*****
Not too long ago....... the only event in the Northeast put on by another website was cancelled. After much thought and some encouragement from Lamont, a few of us deceided to take the bull by the horns and create a Northeast event of our own. This is how Spyderquest was born.
This will be the thread to find all the information you will need to know about this event filled Spyder gathering. We will provide as many details as we can as we nail them down in hopes to show you that this event should not be missed by anyone. We hope to make this Spyderquest a little different from the rest to provide change to others that attend multiple events each year.
To be completly honest we do not have the manpower, experience or sponsorship (as of today), but if you look at our itinerary you should be quite pleased with what's in store for you. I personally promise to work as hard as possible on this, you have my word (as well as my fellow NY Spyder Riding family).
Itinerary may/will be adjusted as needed, so check back often.
Thursday September 19th

Opening day ceremony- Lake George RV Park- http://www.lakegeorgervpark.com/
After your ride into Lake George from your home, we will be gathering at the best RV park I have ever had the pleasure of going to. This RV park will also be the host RV Campground for Spyderquest (sorry, no tent sites). We have rented the Bingo pavilion which holds hundreds and will provide cover if mother nature decides to throw us a curve ball. You are invited to arrive early and use all the parks amenities all day long which includes an indoor heated pool, so dont forget your trunks and towel.

Whiteface Mt ride and Hot Air Balloon Festival
This will be our large guided group ride (Rnet,Cleg) through some of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains and will wind up back in Queensbury, NY later that day to attend the Adirondack Balloon Festival. This ride will include the price for Whiteface MT ride will be on the registration form. Bring your camera, because you will have mountain views for miles and miles at over 4800 feet ASL. A elevator is on site for those that do not want to walk. (Like me) LOL

Casino, Ride and Dinner Cruise Day
This closing day is jam packed with things to do. Eat breakfest, fill up with fuel and we will ride to the Saratoga Casino and Raceway by 10 am to try our luck for a couple of hours. This place has over 1500 slots, video roulette, poker and craps.
At 12pm we will gather to have a buffet lunch right in the casino (Garden Buffet) before we head out on a short Sacandaga lake ride located at the base of the Adirondacks. Price for lunch is $12.95 per person paid at the Casino (all you can eat and drink).

If you do not wish to go to the Casino, there will be a separate longer ride to take a tour of historic Fort Ticonderoga. This fort has a lot of history including four attacks during the Revolutionary War. This ride is lead by Rnet and Cleg. Price for admission to the Fort will be on the registration form.
After our ride we saved the best event for last..................
At 530 pm we will start boarding Lake George's biggest ship to take over a two hour dinner cruise on beautiful Lake George. Dinner will be buffet style with main courses being fish, chicken, pasta and a meat carving station among many sides. Tickets can be purchased for $43.50 and will need to be included on your registration form. Parking directly across from the ship is $10.00....... So, if you want to find another place to park in the village, by all means do.

Randy I thank you for taking on this project. If I hit the lottery before September I will certainly be there. One thing some people may be wanting to know is does the campground also have cabin rentals?

Thanks Mike....... LGRV park is open and welcoming us with open arms. If all goes well we might get lucky and the fall colors will add to this beautiful area.
Yes, it is September so a light jacket and warmer clothes might be needed for some. I might still be in shorts.

I will make sure to have the time off and be available to help. I was wondering, do we have a company to do event t-shirts? My neighbor acrossed the road does amazing work in graphics, and I could talk with him about it if there is a need.
Just sayin'............
Three in the garage, and I think I can fit at least one more in.....and then we will have to build another garage.
The roads in NY are so bad that I am glad we bought a Ryker Rally
Just sayin'............

Randy,
Thanks for making this a reality. I just called and reserved one of the Wilderness Lodge rentals at the Lake George RV Park which we have stayed at a few times before and they are great. There will be at least 2 and possibly 4 in our group but I will update you as the event gets closer. If there is something that I can do to help let me know and I would be glad to invest time and effort to take something off your things to do list.
Its awesome that this will happen during the hot air balloon event and hopefully we will have some foliage to enjoy at the same time.

I think I'm in! I'll need to rearrange a few things but should be able to attend. Will let you know for sure when you have the sign up ready but I'm currently 75% sure.
