Be careful of what you put in there now !! The liner is there to deal with the heat and protect what you put in there.

OK how did you do that?

I am kind of curious. I understand the heat issues there but pictures would help!

Reach in and pull it out. No trick. The liner just sits inside. Very simple...

My early 2010 didn't have one. When I got my 2011 I was unhappy with the much smaller capacity. I took mine out five minutes after I got home, and it has never returned. The remaining insulation does offer some improvement over the early ones that had noting at all. The glovebox contents will get hot, though, so watch what you put in there.

Cool! Learn something new every day!
    I gotta try it...

I understand about the heat area here. I keep crap in there that I don't worry about heat.

    Thanks! COOL TIP!

DO NOT PUT YOUR GUN IN THERE WITHOUT THE LINER, ESPECIALLY IF IT FACES TOWARDS THE REAR OF THE SPYDER

My gun would NEVER go there!

    No worries....

But a little off topic. I inherited this from my father this year.
A WWII vet and he died April this year.

Bronze star hero.... Well at least in my mind. 2 purple hearts and they do not make men like this anymore!

    What a beauty!

After I removed the OEM air cleaner monstrosity and replaced it with the KewlMetal RS unit the heat in my glove box and the surrounding area decreased significantly.

I just had a though... (Scary!!)
Is the 2014 airbox the same size and shape of the prior models?
I've got my garage door opener mounted in the foam insulation, and pulled that out in anticipation of just doing a swap-out when the new bike gets here...

The garage door won't open until it gets used to the new Spyder

RE: glove box. I don't have any gloves other than the fingerless that would actually fit in the "glove" box. I use mine for the insurance proof card, the handy dandy "what to do to change modes and settings thingy", a wrench to remove my glo rider hub screws if necessary, and the garage door remote. I also carry my cell phone there. Have NOT had any heat issues on the 2010 or 2011 where the electronic items have been damaged. But, then again, I am in AK where the high in my area, rarely reaches 75.
