    Default Off the wall..!!

Now here's my story..sorry in advance..my wife bought me a 2012 RS back 6 mo's ago. Since then I have made a few mods (gene's mods) and we have ridden about 4600 miles. The bike has been smooth as silk, purred like a kitten and run like a well oiled machine.
    We have not lost anything
We have not worn anything out
We have not run out of anything
We did not have a problem with the gas cap
We have not had a problem with dealers
    (We do our own work)
We have not had to be towed anywhere
    Nothing has gone flat
    Nothing has broken
    Nothing has fallen off
Nothing has stopped us from ryding
The roadster has never failed us
So shoot us and through us outta here but we thought a little positive would be nice for a change..!!

We have an 08 SM5 with 35k miles and the only trouble we've had was due to "operator error".

I think it is the nature of people and forums. Usually people that are having no issues wont go online to talk about it.

    Default Amen!

Bought mine in 2011 and it has performed flawlessly. My dealer kept me abreast of the computer updates. Had them done. It runs better now than ever before..My wife feels safe on it and that's all that matters to me. You can have problems with anything. You CAN get a lemon of anything. I believe my golf clubs are lemons. Had two wives that were lemons. Just got to turn it into Lemonade..I found the perfect wife and the perfect ride..Still haven't found the perfect golf club...BRP has developed a product that will only get better and better and I Thank Them every time I start it up.

    Post Off the wall!

I thank BRP and my dealer for all the warranty service and nice things they have done for us since we got our 2011 RTL. My dealer, Daytona Fun Machines in Holly Hill, FL has been so patient with us. We have had a hand full of manufacturing defects, and you can not protect yourself against those gremlins no matter what you do. Unless you buy it and park it the following day and that is not going to happen with me still being able to breath!

Most of my problems have been intermittent mechanical problems that drive you nuts. I would love to be able to do my own work but age, and Parkinson's won't let me any more. Darn it anyway!za

    Default All good here

Ditto to a great running machine... Only issue was me being stupid last weekend in Daytona riding the track...going up on the bank, and getting DPS error that re-set when turning off and back on.
Great product, and great dealer in Central Florida Power Sports...

    Default POSITIVE NOTES

I have owned 2 Spyders at this point. First was a 08 RS manual trans, traded that off for a 2010 RT manual audio and convenience group. Just a couple of added equipment pieces. Both unit have performed flawless. 6,000 miles on the 08 and 15,000 on the RT at this point. Other than normal maint and one rear tire all is great. From snow bound Maine, think spring!!!

Default Knock on wood, no problems here...

I have a 2010 RT SE5 A&S and have owned since new April 2010. Other than the known recalls (which up to the throttle body) had never affected me prior to my mechanic incorporating the necessary fixes. I admit, the throrrle body caught me off guard at Spyderfest last year and the bike did spend the day in the shop at Cowtown but it was the day the BRP techs were there and between them and Len, everything was fixed up fine for the 400+ mile ride home. The bike has given no other problems that were not operator error (read stupidity) and is a fine ride whenever the darn weather allows. Right now sitting with snow and I just don't do all that cold stuff when I don't have to anymore!

I've been more than happy with my bike and feel for everyone who has had issues with theirs but in the long run I am more than glad I made the decision to go from 2 to 3 wheels and made the spyder my choice!

My daddy always said ( if your having trouble with a piece of equipment check the nut behind the wheel first ) I've found alot of truth in those words.

First : '09 GS-SE5. I loved that Spyder! 19500 miles not one issue.
Second : '12 RT-S. Leaking o-ring at trans filter from factory, simple fix. Throttle body code 2x. Like Microsoft updates they can be worst than the problem they are to fix. The next BUDS update fixed the problem. 6000 miles of smiles

RT-S: HMT brake light, mud flap lights/turn signals, Trailer hitch, Garmin 660 GPS, Ride-On, Travel cover, LED Mirror turn signals, LED trunk lighting, RGB ground effect lighting, BajRon anti-sway bar, to be continued ......

I have mentioned my information a few times in other threads--but appropriate here again.

2010 RT--28,000 miles and still going strong. Not enough issues to complain about.

2011 RT--5,000 miles and still going strong. Purchased in July of 2012--new. No problem here either.

EDIT: 2008 GS: 23,500 and traded off on new 2010 RT. No mechanical issues

2009 RS: 25,000+ and still going strong.
