Question for RT owners
Getting ready to carry my wife's Spyder in to have the kill switch repaired. Anyway noticed her brake light would light up with the key off and also the horn would work with key off. Is this normal for the RT's

Thanks for the response. Her kill switch doesn't work at all. It's a 12 model with around 1600 miles. I had posted in another thread, but was wondering about the other items before carrying it in for repair.

During your visit at your dealer for your kill switch ask all questions in mind to your tech. Hopefully you'll get the answers to affirm yourself.

The Brake light and Horn working whilst the Ign is off - My guess -
I Think the Brake Light and Horn are designed to work with the Ign off as a safety feature
Should the engine cut out or the Ign be off anyone following would still know your are braking as the brake light will still work and hopefully they will see it and not run into the back of you
You could also warn other road uses as the Horn would still function

The brake lights, hazard flashers, and horn are mandated to work with the key off in the US.
