    Default mouse deterrant

I put moth crystals/balls in a small cup and place them in my camper and collector cars to keep rodents out over the winter and it works well. I have been hesitant to put any under the Spyder seat due to potential interaction of the vapors with plastic or other materials. The package states to not let the materials (paradichlor) come in direct contact with plastics.
Despite riding "Scootie" multiple times this winter, I have pulled the beginnings of a mouse nest out from under the seat a couple of times. I do have a cat that is an outside critter and lives in the garage (uses a cat door) and have set traps.
Anyone have any experience with using moth crystals/balls under your Spyder seat?

Just came back from a ride, and it's time to schedule the 600 mile service.

If you leave it parked with the seat open, they won't have a place to hide.

I was supervising a crew of techncians that were performing decontamination work at an old nuclear site. A couple guys from our home site were there as well, doing QA surveys - basically checking our work. We were out in the boonies, and I showed them a couple garter snakes I pulled from haybales. They were quite nervous. After lunch the QA guys went back to work. One went ahead with the instrumentation while another smoked a cigarette. After he was done with the smoke, he went down to the lower level and asked where his meter was. The other person said "I left it next to the black hose." The response - "What black hose?" Caught up to them a few weeks later, and the whole drive home they were afraid I had put a garter snake in their car (didn't). Those guys never came back!!!

In the summer months I have found mice nests inside the front of the spyder by the Radiator. , During the the summer the spyder is parked outside and covered I put moth balls in small cups and put them on the A-arms and also an indoor plug in type electronic rodent deterrant under the cover . I recently bought a product called mouse blocker, will install it when the spyder comes out from winter storage at the dealers. I hope it works as the dealer has fixed chewed wires already.

If you can find them, the "No Pest" strips work, understand Rural King and Tractor Supply carry them.

Lifebuoy or Ivory always worked best for me. Shavings seem to work better than the whole bars.

did you know if you chase them they will run from you. but if you stop and then run from them, they will chase you ! at least that's what I experienced when I was 7..

mice? Cats ! no problem... except when they leave them at the front door.. in various shades of asunder

I did know that Ivory soap shavings works for mice, I will try it.
I use ivory bar soap when installing wood screws , just drag the screw threads across the bar of soap and the screws will go in very easy with no binding

...or wad some up and plug the openings. Just don't push it in too far.

Maybe put some D-CON under an upside down shoe box with little doors cut into it..That way pets can't get to it..

Mothballs or the soap suggestion placed in an old pair of pantyhose and hung off the bike might work.
