Thanks Lamont, registration is complete and I think I'll be staying in Waynesville. I can't wait to get up there! I'm also still planning on a trip up that way in May, just to enjoy the springtime.

Hotel reservation?
The hotel reservation link isn't working. It says that it is an invalid reservation. Any recommendations for a motels close to the fairgrounds?

When making lodging reservations remember that Newfound Gap Road (US-441) is closed to through traffic between Gatlinburg, TN and Cherokee, NC due to a landslide at Mile Marker 22 on the North Carolina side of the park. They do not know when it will be repaired. You can access the Smoky Mountain Park site for updates "http://www.nps.gov/grsm/index.htm". The wife and I are registered and can't wait to attend.

I registered at A Holiday Motel, It's clean and comfortable and close to the action. We go up to Maggie Valley about twice a year to run the parkway.

They are trying to get the road fixed by the end of May as to limit the loss of gambling revenue on the Cherokee Reservation.

Very long trip for me but the timing is perfect. I just booked at the a holiday inn. Only a few rooms left. No single beds left.
Still need to get the vacation time approved. But I don't see any issues getting it.
Looks like I'll be putting on about 4200+ miles round trip and crossing at least 11 states on the journey over the course of about 10 days.

I registered and booked a room at the Maggie Valley Microtel (where we stayed last time) I'm not really sure that I will be going but just in case I don't want to sleep in the parking lot.

Which Campgrounds?
Looks like lots of campgrounds nearby. Any recommendations for full hookup, big rigs? Although it's only a 6-7 hr ride we will probably bring the toyhauler with the Spyder inside.
