    Default TRAILER TO TOW SPYDER

Does anyone have a suggestion for either rental or purchase of a trailer to get the Spyder back to NH this spring from FL?

    Thanks

Someone just posted one for sale in Palm City, Fla. May want to check it out:
Dual Axle Cargo Mate by Forest River. In great condition with Prodigy braking System. This is fully set up to take the Spyder.D rings installed, side door, lighting and spare wheel. Also set up with hooks on walls for jackets, helmets etc.
We trailered our RT 3000 miles this last Summer behind my Motorhome and behind our Jeep Liberty.Simply ride the Spyder up the ramp and in.Parking brake on,tie the ratchet straps and go.Plenty of room.We also carried 2 bicycles.
I bought it new for just over $5000 before tax.
    Price $3750

Whatever you do, rental or purchase, be sure to measure the clear opening at the ramp end. It takes a pretty wide trailer. Most rentals are not wide enough at the ramp. Also be sure the ramp is long enough to ease the angle, or else raise the tongue to load or buy some planks to use as ramp extensions. The Spyder is low and may scrape or hang up when going from the ramp to the flat trailer.

    Default Not a trailer but....

There's the Amtrak Auto Train... you'd have to ride a bit though. OTOH it'll make it an adventure. Call to confirm their ground clearances and ramp angles to make sure a Spyder will load.
