    Default CRUISE CONTROL

    Heads up and REMINDER

I see where a few people got Cruise Controls on their bikes.. I too am one who added my Cruise Control when in Texas.

BE CAREFUL ~ ~ ~ cruise control should not be used in wet and or slippery conditions just the same as for in Cages, same conditions apply ! CRUISE CONTROLS can and do cause accidents.

On the good side, They are WONDERFUL in dry conditions

I use cruise all the time, but if it pours I go manual. I never ride in snow with the RT, I like it too much, lol.

I never get out on the highway without my thumb getting a bit of a workout setting and adjusting the cruise control.

(I'm a creeper; I set it so as to keep myself within the posted limits...)
But... All of the above warnings apply; as well as another important one: don't try to use it in traffic... best to take the helm; just in case somebody tries to move in on you.

    Question where to get one?

I was wondering who makes a good cruise control for a spyder? I would love to get one for the long trips I am planning on taking.

MC Cruise makes one specific for the Spyder but last I checked it's about $1100 bucks. The other route is a Audiovox Electronic Cruise.I just installed one I got from EBay for $302 shipped. The one for a manual shift is about $360(it needs a extra sensor for the clutch)

It's great when riding alone, but riding with a group that don't have cruise is a pain. The only time I use it then is if I am getting a hand cramp.
