Why so early???
Why is Spyderfest held so early in the year? There can still be some really nasty snow storms in the Uinta and Rocky Mountains in April and beginning of May. For those of us that have to cross both those mountain ranges to get to Missouri it can be really risky.

You're in St. George you don't have to go through Colorado you can go I40 and have little risk of snow but more of tornadoes. It is hard to please everybody but the MOGang does a great job and I highly recommend this event. We will be riding from Las Vegas and you are welcome to join us for the trip.

I may take you up on that
I like taking I-70 since I have sisters in Denver and Boulder that I get to visit with overnight while staying with them on my way to Missouri. I then stay with relatives on the east side of Kansas the second night. Makes lodging a lot cheaper that way. I grew up in Illinois and me and my wife and kids have made that trip back east every other year for 20 years. Family is great to stay with, visit and they always feed us dang good too. If the weather turns bad I may take you up on that I-40 route with ya. Always enjoy riding with others. Thanks for the offer. I will be there one way or the other.

Spyderfest is a great event...arguably the greatest, but there are other events, too. They can't all be in the same time or at the same place, so they are spread throughout the year and the country. Spyderfest is the one that starts the season right! If you can't make it, though, due to waether or distance, there are others to choose from. Better yet...make them all.
