Default WOW - Been A While - HI and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to All! - From Newfoundland!

Hey everybody. Wow, been a while.

I am just now coming up for air, after a crazy past few months. A few life changes (all good) has kept me more than busy. I guess that is to be expected when changing jobs and having a little one!

These awesome changes, all to some extent planned, has focused my time on other things, including the regular spyderlovers posting I was used to.

While my time posting has been limited, I have occasional evenings of reading some of the top posts and spyderlovers news. That ST, wow!

My ryding habits haven't changed much at all - still spydering as my main source of transportation... in all weather in Newfoundland. However, my rydes have me frequent superstores more than before, specifically the diaper section, haha

It has been a while so, I wanted to touch base to say HI, and wish everybody all the best for the holidays, with great health for the new year, 2013.

From our growing family to yours, Happy Holidays, a Healthy New Year and safe spydering to you all!!!!!!

Ps - I am preparing for an oil change on my SM5 over the holidays, in hopes Santa got my list (spyderlovers oil, filter, orings and washers...). And I hear there is a new oil filter? Any thoughts on the new one, and ideas on the part change?
    Thanks!

Hi Dean, First on the addition to your family tree. , we know you have them.

Second the new BRP oil filter, It has a screen mesh covering the entire filter material, which makes it much more robust in my opinion.
For the SM5 the new filter is the same size and is a direct replacement. I just changed my first one with 4,970 miles on it. It looked very good.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Tennessee, Dennis

    Thanks everyone!

Scotty, "weather testing", I like that haha.

Eddie: our daughter certainly is already a little helped - she's our apartment clock most mornings these days, haha.

Yep, had a couple suggestions to get a trailer, but with the trunk and back rack I can fit something like over three hundred diapers haha.

Dennis, appreciate the notes on the sm5 filter. Will get to my scheduled oil change before new year!

Ron/Lamont, thanks for the note. Have you guys seen snow yet this year? I recall last winter you has it before us. We had two early storms that caused a couple cancellations, but nothing major yet.

Lamont, your signature photo with the white RT and 622 is awesome!!
Ron, I hope business is going well these days. Check your PMs.

Thanks again everyone, for all your replies and emails the last little while. While we are settling into a family routine now I hope to get a little more time to read/reply to post in the near future.

Again, all the best to everyone and your families for the holidays and new years!
    Will be in touch.
    Dean

Hey everyone. Just finished the last run on this Christmas Eve. Packed the ingredients for making our holiday fudge, cartons of eggnog, fixings for the holiday meal(s), festive drinks and wrapping paper all into my Spyder's trunk. Ok, ok, the rolls of wrapping paper had to go on the back rack; they are just too long haha.

Home now for lunch before the traffic picks up, tea in hand sitting round the tree with the family and the fire on. Let the holidays begin!

Best wishes to all, and to all a good Ryde!
    Dean
