Default Air wing trick for those of us who ride even when its zero out

If you own air wings (I have an RT but I think this will work on a RS) you may know they are great for helping keep the cold wind from blowing on you in the winter. However there is a large gap between the bike and the air wing. During the summer its not a big deal but in the winter you can really feel the air entering into that gap. The trick is to switch out the right and left top air wing, you will not be able to open and close them till you rotate them back but in the winter who wants them open? Anyway by switching the two sides you reduce the gap by about 75% and drops the cold wind down to almost nothing. Give it a try.

I think everyone is wanting kbfk to post pictures, AC, but thanks for posting a picture of your wings. Both sides of the airwings look the same to us so swapping left for right doesn't look like it would change anything.

Default Sorry Holiday or I would have responded earlier

I was referring to what air wings call the inner panels. You can see them in the photos acinpola posted (thank you). They are the panels that are the top and closes to the spyder. By swamping the inner panels during winter it blocks even more air though you can no longer rotate the panels when you swamp the left and right inner panels. Work wonders when its below freezing.

    Default Here are the pics

Here are the pics, I hope this makes what I'm saying clearer. Note the inner panel is in front of the mounting brackets. Normally they are behind the mounting bracket and will swivel much like the regular top panel also show in the photo. Sorry my RT is dirty but its been snowing and I ride all year. (yes. I stay home when its actually snowing, but when it stops ....)
