Battery life is about over two years. You are due.

    Default Brake Failure

I had that issue and the fix was replace 08 brake reservoir caps - 08 brake caps had a leaking problem causing low fluid - which gives you that brake failure code - can am even has a safety recall on those bad caps.... I think the bulletin is posted somewhere on this site---

Default Right and wrong brake reservoir cap installation

On my 08 I found out that the fluid leak was caused by the vent opening in the cap facing the front of the Spyder. Reservoir tilts forward and since you must keep the fluid level right up to the neck it splashes out during quick stops. The cure for me was to reinstall the caps with the vent opening facing back (uphill). No further problems with it for the remainder of my ownership. Traded it in on a 2011 RT-s.

    Default brake fluid caps

mine still leak, with vents facing up-hill. i'm just going to replace them. i think i need a new battery too.the 08 batteries were probably manufactured in 07 , now it's almost 13, so it lived it's life.
it was fun while it lasted.
