Here is a video of the back of my wife's new after installing the Street Magic Genesis LED RT HMT Brake Light, TricLED 2 piece center running and brakes dual functioing LEDs, and the Signal Dynamics Back-Off Wig Wag. All if this was a very eazy install.

, did the same except for the HMT at the top, my winter project.
I cut my third and fourth light wire and added quick (dis)connects so I could still remove the top half of the backend independent of the bottom half.
Wanted the custom dynamics back off flasher for the trailer as well but because the brakes are linked to the turn signals couldn't do it.

He said it was easy, but then that WAS what the Navy paid him to do for 22 years...heck, if he managed to do the installation when he was in between chemo rounds, it couldn't have been TOO bad! What a guy!

Good Job! I need to look into that mod. I shall make no comments about lighting up the wife's rear end.

Its a multifunction wig wag unit that makes your brake lights flash in 1 of 10 patterns. Wakes up the driver behind you. Super easy plug and play install.
I mounted the control unit hidden inside the trunk, that way I can very easily change the pattern. I use one of the repeatable patterns so when at a stop light the unit will pause for 4 seconds then repeat the flash pattern. With the 3rd and 4th brake lights from tricled (the op subject) there really get the persons attention behind you. I read so many stories of people being rear ended at stop lights, in the rain and at night there super bright and get people attention. Here in MA we have strict lighting laws but I even had an officer comment at a bike night how much he liked them as a safety device. Wish the RT-622 had separate brake and signal wires, I would love to put on on the trailer as well and while on the subject would like a matching 3rd and 4th brake light on the trailer as well.

He's helped most of the rest of our riding group with theirs, so I'm sure he'd help with yours...only problem right now is oncologist really yelled at him about the various nicks and scrapes on his hands from working in small spaces. I was pretty worried about them, myself, after his recent hospital stay for fever/skin infection. Hope they figure your bike problems out soon...I figured you'd get back from your class and have everything figured out yourself!

This is where the Wig-Wag came from, the only thing about this is it doesn't have the plug and go, you have to cut the wires and make the connections, but it isn't hard. The one from Custom Dynamics is also about $40. more than this one.
If I remember right.
Signal Dynamics also has other one you could use. One thing I think about when doing this is what would I like to look at, at a Stop light for 1 or 2 minutes, do you want to see this flashing and flashing when setting behind a bike. That is why I just wanted something that will get your attention then go solid. But then too it is my wife's bike and more than not I will be behind her and will have to look at what I installed. Just something to think about.

I have to some what agree that having the repeating pattern could be a pain for the guy sitting right behind you.
However the reason I like the repeating pattern is for the late comers to the light. Often you've come to a stand still at the light and the car behind you his still a little ways back speeding towards the light. I wanted the flashing to repeat to get there attention so they see something is a miss and don't just see static lights ahead.
The type that is texting, briefly look up for a split second then their is head is back down texting. The flashing light is more likly to get their attention than that of a static brake light. Although with todays drivers there are no guarantees but I would rather be thought of as an a***ole with the annoying flashing lights than that of a rear ended ex biker.
