    Default Sidecar for the Spyder?

Has anyone seen anywhere you can buy a sidecar for the Spyder. Would love to be able to take all 3 of us with one Spyder. I probably know the answer but thought I would ask anyway.

It just ain't gonna happen without you getting busy with a torch, a welder, and a whole bunch of friends with time to burn...

I would highly recommend against doing that. The Spyder will become quite unstable and unpredictable, in my estimation. A vehicle with three tracks, no pivot point, and electronics and suspension engineered for something far different, could pose unsurmountable safety and handling problems.

I Agree, But that never stopped anyone from building something that was both outrages and,
    Dangerous.

Another issue from the guys that put training wheel setups (like Voyager) on their Goldwings..Some states insist on automotive standards when you go beyond 3 wheels.

Thanks for the link. I missed it for some reason. Guess we're just going to HAVE to buy another Spyder soon.

Didn't they once believe that if a locomotive got up to 60mph; it'd suck all of the air out of the passenger cars and everybody would die?

The only Trains i rode on were the NYC subways, So with the Square wheels they used there was never a worry about them hitting 60mph.

How about 3 seater tandem, maybe a good seat maker can stitch one up and alot cheaper than a sidecar. A streach spyder RT SE5 Version anyone? Can anyone make a graphic picture pls. Love it

I would probably leave the side car off the . My concern would be safety issues and probably all kinds of issues with the nanny. Sidecar rigs handle differently, and when you throw in the dynamics of three additional wheels I see potential problems.

Oh Heck...Just mount a "chair" on both sides that you can hydraulically deploy like the stabilizers on a backhoe!

there are trike kits made with three wide seating, but all I have seen are single front wheel. Auto engines
Brothers of the third wheel have a forum with some on it

It is definitely a staged shot. First of all, the color of the sidecar doesn't match the Spyder PLUS the front of the sidecar is supported by a cinderblock and NOT connected to the Spyder. I have a GL1800 Trike, but NO sidecar. I was told that you can't have 3 people on a motorcycle even with a sidecar. This is in New Jersey. If it's a motorcyle, you can only have 2 people total.

    Nope'
If the bike has seats and foot pegs for two, Then one person in the hack makes 3 people,
    And legal.

How about a stretched limo version? Could be every bit as fun as the now outlawed water winnie!

You could be right. I sort of agree with you. This statement was said to me by an employee of East Coast Cycle Center, Bensalem,Pa. This MIGHT possibly be a Pa. state law. I don't really know. Just hearsay. I would have to check with the Police or State Police. He said someone had 2 little kids in a GL1500 double seated sidecar, and no one could really see them. LOL
