Belt Adjustment
Was out riding today and I was getting some strange vibrations all over the RPM range. I was about 3 hours from where my Spyder dealer is located but I was about 5 minutes from my SeaDoo Dealer. Both BRP so not a problem. I walked into the shop and started talking with the Spyder Mech. He took my RT for a quick ride and and stated that my belt was very loose. I was watching him tighten by belt and he set it to 640 n. Does anyone have the service bulletin on what the 2012 RT Belt is supposed to be at?

The last spec I saw published was 450 N +/-150, per a service bulletin on the subject. He's a little high if 640 was the average of the three readings.

So I am thinking I need to take it back in to my normal dealer on Tuesday then I take it.

If the vibration is gone, and the dealer recorded the adjustment on your service record, I'd probably wait until your next service interval to have it checked by your regular dealer. It's up to you, of course. If you are uncomfortable with it, by all means have it rechecked.

You know I never thought to have them record it. I plan on taking it in and having it checked and recorded.

If the Vibes are gone, I would leave well enough alone.
