I used lacquer thinner to clean mine (although I would not do that on chrome rims). Adhesion promoter does give the 3M tape a stronger stick. Valleyspyder suggested to super glue them on. LOL

Thats funny you mention that. I've never ridden that far away yet, but I've definitely been thinking about making that my first road trip.

Well actually I had to take the wheels off because I used the wrong stuff to stick them down. This pic is how it looks not stuck down. Going to line them with double stick and see what happens. I do know that once they are stuck down properly, you don't see them much, especially when the wheel is upright.
