    Default deflectors

they will scratch up your paint unless you mod them. i ground off about 1/8 on all the edges that could contact other body panels. sometimes alot more. i've had no problems. very hot right now to have them on period. they work quite well. i'll put mine back on in october ps, i didn't get inst. either. each one is three pieces, it's easy to figure out.

Yea, I didn't have any instructions either and it's a little confusing the first time you put them on. They can only fit one way. First look at the photo below then figure out the left and right pieces. The flat piece mounts in front. Mount the brackets using the original tupperware screws, then mount the deflectors using the four small screws per side.

I was worried they were going to scratch the paint but mine sit cleanly off the panels so they never touch. They work great. Solved the head bobbling problem my windshield couldn't quite fix alone.

Here is the left side mounting bracket. My wife had me take them off for the summer to stay cooler.Left Deflector Bracket.jpg

+I scanned the five page instruction sheet for Kit P/N 219 400 177 into the RoadkillOnline image albums for you. Visit the "spydtech windshield" album at www.roadkillonline.net (not yet captioned in the album), and/or click on these uncaptioned individual image links:

Yeah, you might want to wait until Fall to install them. I just took off my touring windshield and deflectors (I bought the byke 3 weeks ago, and they came with). I am SO much happier to have the extra cooling for now. They work almost too well - at least when it's hot. Will be very nice in cooler weather.
