 Well, today is the big day...
Unfortunately, I am not talking about qualifying for the Iron Butt, or anything along those lines. It's Erags' surgery day...4 1/2 hours to go. As you may have guessed,  I'm not sleeping very well tonight. The IV pump casts a green glow in the room and the nurse has been in; I do better with a completely dark, quiet room. I would much rather be continuing our journey to SITR than be lying in a hospital bed. Good luck, Erags...I'll be praying for your speedy recovery.

The best of luck to you and all of my and my families prayers go out to you. I have been there and the best thing is just think about the good things that you will do next fall and next year riding your Spyder and telling stories about your trip back home. You will be fine!

Well...he's out of surgery and back in his room.  Everything went well. Surgeon was able to get things out through a 2 inch incision, so hopefully he'll recuperate quickly. He had about 10 inches of both large and small intestines removed. Now we're waiting to get results back in a few days to determine the rest of the plan  ...I expect chemo to be part of the plan since surgeon said the small intestine wall was adherent to the abdominal wall.  Thanks, again, for the prayers and support.
