My first day, Saved a lot, Spent a lot
Last week I was a Harley man, this week I'm Spyder man. A lot of factors influenced my decision and here I am. I'm somewhat mechanical, but I knew the Spyder might be a challenge . A couple yars ago I bought another challenge, an Class A RV, but a similar forum iRV2 got me thru the Newbie jitters and all is going well. When I traded the Harley for a RT SM5 , I was full of concerns and had tons of questions for the salesman, I think I overwhelmed him, but he had a solution. He told me to try SpyderLovers.com. Since I have this tremendous fear of Arichnids I tabled the thought for a couple of days. Yesterday my curiosity got the best of me, I had to see what was hidden behind all those panels, I just gotta know what's under me. The manual is pretty good, but pulling and tugging on plastic tends to make me nervous. Then I remembered the salesman s recommendation, so here I am. Thanks to the forum all the panels have been off, even a bout with the mirrors and all the under things have been photographed and put back like I found them. What a great learning experience. What made it easy was my iPad and SpyderLovers.com. After reading everyone's experiences and informative posts I've made some "must have" purchases from Spyderpops and Amazon and I'm set to Ryde. Great forum, wish there were more pictures, but maybe I'll be able to help with that when I can. Oh! By the way I've overcome my fear....thanks Ryder's.

Ours was delivered on June 30th... and we LOVE it. We are having so much fun, it is so relaxing! When we get home from work, we have dinner and then go for a ride. I sleep like a baby when we get home, some people do yoga, we ride our Spyder! this is the first motorcycle we have EVER owned, won't be the last.

I'm another one of those "tear it apart before the paint dries" sort of guys. You don't really own a vehicle until you've peeked under its skirt. Enjoy the Ryde!

...this is a great forum for learning more about the Spyder and supporting each other. You'll have to check out all the sponsors to see what neat mods you can think about. That's always an advantage of attending a group event with lots of Spyders...but definitely detrimental to the finances! Welcome to the Spyder family. Hope to see you at Lamont's BBQ in Sept.
