with 250,000 rounds of ammunition, 10 anti-tank missiles,
4 grenade launchers, 2 tons of heroin,
$25 million in forged bills and a ring of 25 prostitutes
    all in a housing project

I'm sure the right to bear arm does not apply in this case.

i don't exactly refer to them as morons, but i can't use the explicative here that i normally use! moron is just too nice of a name for them. i had a bear tip over my charcoal grill one night after we had just used it. lucky we were still awake and heard it go over or my insurance guy would have been building a new house for our kids. stayed up for two hours sitting with a garden hose in my hands spraying water on the deck and the leaves under it while the wife watched the bear about twenty yards away, licking bbq sauce off the grill. she didn't have a hose in her hands, she had a 300 weatherby. two of my friends houses have been broken into by bears. one having over twenty thousand dollars worth of damage done. the other just lost his freezer in the garage, and everything that was in it! man, look what you got me started on----- and when they catch one in the cities, they just bring them right up to us!!

    The following is true

My former boss used to live in the mountains outside Boulder, CO and bears are VERY common in that area. Several years ago, one of his neighbors heard some panicked screams coming from his neighbor's house -- the wife was at home alone and a bear had broken into the home through a glass door. She was trapped in the kitchen, and even though un-injured, could not get out of the house and away from the bear. So, dutiful neighbor heads over with his gun (sorry, don't know the details about type / caliber) and shoots the bear dead in the kitchen -- saving his neighbor's wife in the process. Well.... as it turns out Boulder County, CO has an ordinance that states it is illegal to shoot bears (they are a "protected" species). So, the guy was arrested and tossed in jail for killing this bear. I believe charges were dropped a few days later.

IMHO, he should have been given a medal rather than jail time!

    Best Regards ... Ann

Bob, I think I started it with my joke. I do have that T shirt. But it's just a joke.

I camped a lot in the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado. I'm very familiar with bears. Many times we woke up in the morning and found bear tracks through the camp. And we usually slept outdoors in sleeping bags. We would hear the flatlanders down the canyon, yelling as the bears would tear the doors off their campers trying to get to food. Those morons would leave food scraps in trash cans outside their aluminum castles on wheels.

Yup! They love all animals until they show up hungry and start taking things apart...
180 grain Noslers... Just about perfect!
As long as no neighbor's houses are in the way!
They'll rip through the typical Black Bear and happily speed towards the next target.

I may live in North Carolina, and have lived here for over 30 years. However, I was born and raised in New Jersey, and you can't take the Jersey out of the girl.

So, please let me make a little correction to the pronunciation of New Jersey. It depends on your location. If you live in central or southern New Jersey, it is pronounced 'Jersey'. That includes Camden, although I don't think I would go there anymore. Now, if you live in the northern part of New Jersey, close to New York, it is "Joisey".

This concludes your lesson on pronouncing New Jersey correctly, depending on the location. Thank you.
