Where is my wife and who replaced her with a lookalike?
While watching TV one night, a Spyder commercial came on. My wife remarked that it would be nicce to have one. Huh? Never in a million years could I imagine that happening. I made a promise to my mother when I was a young and also to my wife that I would not go on a motorcycle. I kept that promise. But the Spyder is different and offers stability that a two-wheeled motorcycle doesn't. And my wife is willing to get on one! When a wife surprises you and suggests getting a fantastic new toy, one must sieze the moment.
On Sunday we went to a dealer to have a look at them since we have never seen one on the road here on Long Island or anywhere else we've been. I expected her to gravitate towards the RS since she is frugally minded with our money, not to mention an excellent manager of our money. She discounted the RS immediately and had her eye on the RT. It only makes sense as it's something we both want to enjoy riding together. As soon as my employment situation changes, we will pull the trigger on one. The only disagreement we have is what color we like. She like the the Pearl white Limited while I like the Bronze. I hope to report back in the coming months that we are no longer prospective owners but proud new owners.

We've had ours for almost 6 weeks, and we are having a blast.
Only issue we have now is deciding who is going to drive.

Been there , done that.
I have owned 20 plus road bikes during our 25 years of marriage and not once did my wife want to ride. Bought a 2011 Rt-s and she just got her motorcycle license! We have plans to ride for a week in August and I couldn't be happier! Get what ever color she wants, color does not affect the ride!

We've had our 2010 RTS for two years. When we got it the wife had never driven a motorcycle. Never wanted to. Well, that all changed. She got her endorsement today!

I thought I was reading about myself while reading this!!! Before we pulled the trigger, I asked her if she was ready, and she replied with a very definite "YES". I mentioned that I didn't think I could handle the Spyder and car payments, so she has also agreed to pitch in with the Spyder payments until we decide if we like it better than the SRT-4 Caliber

The wife picked the white right from the start. Looks great and really catches your eye. Go for it. And let the games begin.

Welcome
Welcome I'm sure you will enjoy it.
I was thinking of buying another used bike the wife says buy a new one and get a warrenty.
After spending several weeks kicking it around my wife says either but the spyder RTS or remodel the kitchen.
I sure love the Spyder.
