Default Where is my wife and who replaced her with a lookalike?

While watching TV one night, a Spyder commercial came on. My wife remarked that it would be nicce to have one. Huh? Never in a million years could I imagine that happening. I made a promise to my mother when I was a young and also to my wife that I would not go on a motorcycle. I kept that promise. But the Spyder is different and offers stability that a two-wheeled motorcycle doesn't. And my wife is willing to get on one! When a wife surprises you and suggests getting a fantastic new toy, one must sieze the moment.

On Sunday we went to a dealer to have a look at them since we have never seen one on the road here on Long Island or anywhere else we've been. I expected her to gravitate towards the RS since she is frugally minded with our money, not to mention an excellent manager of our money. She discounted the RS immediately and had her eye on the RT. It only makes sense as it's something we both want to enjoy riding together. As soon as my employment situation changes, we will pull the trigger on one. The only disagreement we have is what color we like. She like the the Pearl white Limited while I like the Bronze. I hope to report back in the coming months that we are no longer prospective owners but proud new owners.

Enjoy the hunt. Color is your decision problem. I definately recommend the RT for riding two up. It has more comfort and touring options. Besides, that's the one she wants.

We've had ours for almost 6 weeks, and we are having a blast.

Only issue we have now is deciding who is going to drive.

Default Been there , done that.

I have owned 20 plus road bikes during our 25 years of marriage and not once did my wife want to ride. Bought a 2011 Rt-s and she just got her motorcycle license! We have plans to ride for a week in August and I couldn't be happier! Get what ever color she wants, color does not affect the ride!

We've had our 2010 RTS for two years. When we got it the wife had never driven a motorcycle. Never wanted to. Well, that all changed. She got her endorsement today!

I thought I was reading about myself while reading this!!! Before we pulled the trigger, I asked her if she was ready, and she replied with a very definite "YES". I mentioned that I didn't think I could handle the Spyder and car payments, so she has also agreed to pitch in with the Spyder payments until we decide if we like it better than the SRT-4 Caliber

The wife picked the white right from the start. Looks great and really catches your eye. Go for it. And let the games begin.

I don't know what happened to your wife but my wife drank the same water two years ago. I never had even spoke about getting a MC and we had never rode one. One night I was on the web just looking at the price and information on the SPyder and my wife walked up behind me and said "I suppose you want one of those?" I told her look to be fairly safe and I was looking at the information. She said ahy don't you get one for your 50th birthday. My birthday is in November and this was April! No problem, she said get get it now so we can engoy it this summer! My wife is also the one that manages the finances and is fruglally mineded. So when you wife says you can go out and spend $17K you don't wait. Next day, a Friday I picked out a red , no RT at dealer, and Saturday it was sitting on my driveway. Now to get a Licence!

Now to find some more of that water, I want a red RTS.

RT-S: HMT brake light, mud flap lights/turn signals, Trailer hitch, Garmin 660 GPS, Ride-On, Travel cover, LED Mirror turn signals, LED trunk lighting, RGB ground effect lighting, BajRon anti-sway bar, to be continued ......

    Thumbs up Welcome

Welcome I'm sure you will enjoy it.
I was thinking of buying another used bike the wife says buy a new one and get a warrenty.
After spending several weeks kicking it around my wife says either but the spyder RTS or remodel the kitchen.
    I sure love the Spyder.
