What a coincidence! I was just going to post the fact that there is a Bike Night at Goodfellows on Rt 30 in Absecon -- also on Thurs night. I haven't been there yet -- they started it last summer.
I can make the Chickie & Petes this Thurs if others are going. We could meet anywhere on Rt 40; the Hamilton Mall is ok as well. How about meeting at the MALL parking lot opposite Olive Garden? I don't mean in the small parking lot of the Olive Garden but the huge MALL parking lot across the access road. Is 5:30 a good time or would 5:00 be better?
The weather on Thurs is for 30% chance of showers. We should probably watch this space on Thurs to see if we need to cancel.

Sounds like we have 2 different places to try on Thursday's .
Hamilton mall parking lot by the olive garden and sears works for me . 5:30 is better .
if I get the new job , I will be right down he road from both places , and work til 5 .
The weather is always in consideration - I hate getting wet riding , a dirty spyder is not good .

Getting My Spyder Ready
I was gone for a week in April to SpyderFest and, when I got home, I went almost immediately to a dealer to get some work done on it. One thing it needed was a new belt and front sprocket. They ordered it from BRP and two other dealers and all backordered it. So, my Spyder was at the dealer for over a month. What with the dust from the 3000 mile trip to/from MO plus being stored outside at the dealer, the thing has a major coat of road dust. Will need to work to get it clean enough for Bike Night.
Looking forward to seeing all of you Thurs. Let's keep in touch about the weather; it doesn't look all that promising.

Agreed - the weather as of now doesn't look good - 40% chance of rain
Play it by ear -- it changes by the day --
Heavy rain moving through my area right now and they only said 30% chance

Michael Gibson from Williamstown wrote me today and said he might join us. Not sure if he can make the 5:30 time or not. Hope so; he has had his Spyder for only 3 weeks.
Sorry, Dwanton, that you can't make it but there will be other times. Look forward to meeting you then.
Weather looks a bit better for tomorrow night. Let's decide tomorrow.

Let's Do It.
Let's meet by 5:30 in the Mall parking lot north of the Olive Garden off of Rt 322. I will be there a bit early. The rain -- if it comes at all -- doesn't look too bad so let's take a chance. Bring rain gear for the ride home.
See you in a couple of hours.

Wet!!!
Boriken, Michael Gibson and I met at the Mall parking lot last night. We chatted and then headed off to the Bike Night. We were first to arrive; even at the peak of the evening, I doubt there were more than 25 or 30 bikes there. There were vendors: jewelry, clothing, pin-striping. Most of the attendees huddled in the outside porch/bar especially as the weather turned bad.
Haven't seen rain and hail like that since the return from Spyders in the Smokies (SITS) four years ago. I, of course, hung my helmet on my handle bars so it collected rainwater like a bucket. Boriken brought a half-cover for his RT so he road home without a wet butt -- unlike me.
While the evening's activities were a wash-out -- the band never got to play a note -- the three of us got to meet each other. Our chats were the best part of the night.
Michael left first because he wanted to avoid the rain (pretty much impossible); he's only had his RT for three weeks and, I guessed, didn't relish riding in the rain without rain gear.
We chatted about Irish2theMax's "Covered Bridge Tour" and agreed that going on the route he suggested would be fun. We are going to try to work out a ride before the end of June. Both Boriken and Michael prefer weekend rides so we will aim for a Sat/Sun.
We certainly could meet for breakfast or lunch at one of the many NJ diners. How about this Sun if the weather is good? Somewhere in Salem Co? There is a diner in Malaga on Rt 40 or, perhaps better, the Woodstown Diner?
Anyway, I enjoyed the evening because of new Spyder friends even though I had a wet head.

it was a good thing meeting out what you guys last night. Hope to do it again. When the weather conditions is better . I did get caught in the rain, but it was only for about 10 to 15 minutes. The rest of the ride was clear, no rain
