Original Grip Buddies
The OEM grips on my RT-S SE5 basically suck.......my hands ached all the time. As the bike grips are heated and I didn't want to lose that, I searched high and low for options.
A friend of mine turned me on to Original Grip Buddies which are made individually to fit all bike grips. They are made of neoprene and install in moments. They basically wrap around over the OEM grips.
I did a 300+ mile ride with them and was amazed at the difference I felt. Hands didn't hurt, felt no fatigue and it actually reduced the small amount of vibration the bike produces.
They are really reasonably priced. The designer holds 10 patents and was an absolute joy to chat with. I received them in just a few days.
If you don't want those giant Kuryakyn clam shell grips (which were way to big for my hands) these grips are the way to go. I just can't say enough about how wonderful they feel. I'm going to the Republic Of Texas Motorcycle Rally in Austin, TX in June and these grips will make the ride much more enjoyable. Check them out!!!

I am not familiar with the grips you write about, however they sound great. We purchased the oversized foam grips from Reggy at Tricled at Spyderfest and are very happy with the improved comfort. They were only $20 and well worth much more.

Got your order, and we'll most likely get them out today (Sunday). I think you will find these will help with the problem you described. Your description is exactly why I developed this product.

Sarge707-
I will try to describe the differences:
Puppies vs. OGB's
Slip on (with some difficulty)/ Easy to install yourself in 5 min.
Open cell foam rubber/ Closed cell neoprene with embossed
rubber skin
Absorb Water/ All-weather
Not very effective at
conveying heat through
to your hands from heated grips/Heated grip compatible
Gotta cut them to fit your bike/ delivered to you "ready to install"
Modest Vibration damping/ Excellent vibration damping
Look like black marshmallows/ Look OEM
Approx. 3.9 mm thick/ 4.7mm thick
Not sure if this helps, but I tried to give you the information we have.
Best,
Dave R.

Sounds excellent BUT can I take them off for the winter because the Oxford Hot Hands won,t fit with then on there.
Can I re-use them next season or is the sticky for I use?

My answer to your question depends on how careful you are. I've had many customers either re-positiion them, or take them on an off multiple times, or move them from bike to bike. In every case they were super careful not to contaminate the sticky backing of the hook velcro. If you think you will want to move them and keep them aside for another use, simply keep the backing plastic and remember which side is to the sticky (because it matters). Also, the longer they are on the less likely you are to salvage the adhesive.
I hope this helps.
Best,
Dave R.

I would like to ascertain if you did receive my patented product, because I do not have a dealer named "Reggy at TricLed". I do exclusively manufacture and distribute my own grips, so please help me to determine this answer. Was the product a neoprene grip wrap attached with a sticky-backed piece of hook velcro sewn to one edge? And what was it called on the package?
Thanks so much for your invaluable information.

I just ordered a set. I would suggest you become a vendor on SpyderLovers. It's a great venue for us after market manufacturers.

Regretfully, I will not be able to post or respond to posters who need clarification regarding information on my grips, in my efforts to respect the existing board rules. If my circumstances change, I will certainly come back and join as a vendor.
Thanks to all,
Dave R.

I appreciate that, thanks.
By the way the guy that posted above you is a one man USA made startup company and he has done very well as a vendor here. Same with Spyderpops and a few more vendors so you can wait till you grow the company or you can take the risk and see if this site will help you grow the company, that's what they did.

Those are all great stories, and I understand from some here that you, yourself, manufacture and sell here on your own site so you can appreciate what working with a budget is like when you are trying to grow a small business like I am. It is important to crawl before you run, and simply throwing money at a problem is not always the most prudent approach. I appreciate your encouragement of my small business. BTW, if you ever bring back a program like I understand you had when this board was started, vendors were needed, and you wanted to encourage guys like me to become vendors by providing incentives or promotions, by all means contact me. also, I appreciate your understanding the 1-man USA company business model. We need much more of that in this country.
Best,
Dave R.
