    Default ptt button

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but everyone I ride with says when we are talking on the cb that my ptt doesn't clear when releast. I've sprayed the button with contact cleaner but it doesn't do any good. If I flip the switch a second time it clears. Any help would be great.

With the 2010 RTs, BRP replaced the cluster to correct the problem.

On the 2010 models there is a programming problem that causes the problem. They corrected it on the 2011 RT. The fix is to swap the console display assembly with a 2011 model. Mine was covered under warranty.

If your dealer doesn't know about it, have him call BRP. It is not a recall since there are relatively few RTs with the CB installed. They only warranty them when there is a complaint.

One small point. The odometer is in the cluster. When the cluster is replaced, the total (not the trip odommeters) mileage shown is reset to zero.
You need to keep track of this for determining maintenance intervals and mileage awards such as pins or patches.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

Hi all I have been having the problem with my ptt button for a long time , but BPR Australia dos not believe me when I told them about the fix over there
I would like to know What Calos full name is and position he holds at BPR and a contact number. I think if I supplied this information to the nutheads over here I might get my ptt fixed
    Thankyou From Australia.
