Default I have no idea what this does...Anybody?????

Upon installing a riser block on my '08 GS/RS I have discovered that underneath the throttle box on the right hand side there is a knob that rolls back and forth. I have no earthly idea what this does. Anybody........

Mine's fairly exposed, I see the throttle cable pulley up front that actuates a lever off to the right of that...didn't see any knobs.

Are you talking about the little rocker switch on the front of the throttle box?; The one that runs your high beams for illuminating your frunk, when it's open in the dark? Just a thought. I'm probably wrong, as usual.

I thought it was the auxillary gas tank activation knob

Joking aside, if someone figures this out--I am interested.

Well...ya'll have been so helpful... All joking aside-the roll knob is built into the bottom of the throttle box. You can roll it forward or backwards. I will try to post pics of the darn thing tommorrow.

Is the throttle thingy like box square? I was told all boxes are square. But you people quit teasing her. It is a dimmer knob for the light for when you want to get romantic, Maybe???

I've got an 08 RS. I'm going to check my throttle box in the morning and see what I can find. Funny I've never noticed a knob there but could be I'll learn something. I'm always looking for some romance so I'm hoping Sandrunr1 is right!

Romance switch huh....cute.. I haven't noticed the one on mine either until I had to take the throttle off of the handlebars to put on my riser... I rolled it a couple of times back and forth but was afraid of the effect it might have in doing so so I quit messing with it. I figured the SL guru"s would know what it is BUT.................
