One advantage of riding the behind Erags is my ability to do sightseeing and picture taking. On our recent ten week trip I started noticing some really funny or interesting signs/billboards/marquees. I'm sure other forum readers have noticed signs that they've done a double take about. For instance, one billboard in Pennsylvania read "Your wife is hot...FIX HER A/C!" Another one that I'm still trying to figure out was "New, new at Dunkin Donuts: frozen hot chocolate." Is that frozen or hot? Maybe some of you DD fans can answer that one. "Camp Whata-We-Call-It" caught my eye, as did "A Royal Flush beats a Full House" (on a Royal Flush port-a-potty, of course). My favorite Pennsylvania sign, however, was the sign put up by the PA DOT: "Buckle up for the next million miles," a great idea for drivers and passengers, not that we could DO that on the . I'm sure other Spyderlovers have noticed road signs...any favorites?
I used to live in Tennessee, and one sign advertised a company that sells vacuums and guns (firearms)...... Never quite understood that combination! Doughnuts and coffee, yes......
On the window of a UK camping store having a winter sale - "Now is the winter of our discount tents"
For those who don't know Shakespeare's Richard the Third the famous line is "now is the winter of our discontent, made glorious summer by this son of York".

LOVE it...my former English teacher would have enjoyed that one, too.
When we were in Pennsylvania there was a DUI billboard that was quite good: "I could handle the drinking...but not the driving part." While we were touring some of the wineries in the Fingerlakes we passed a sign reading "The drunkard shall come to poverty." Hmmm...maybe we should skip that bottle of wine, honey! Then we passed another reading "While you are still drunk, stop to buy our junk." What kind of an advertising campaign is that? (Better yet, does it work???)
This a sign we saw in Wisconsin Dells last year - if you read all the way down to the bottom of the sign you'll understand why this one caught my eye! Being from neighboring Minnesota we automatically said, "Only in Wisconsin, would you have a driving school housed in a bar!!!"

I remember a sign in Boston on Storrow Drive announcing the name of a funeral home.
"Slow Down And Drive Safe......We Can Wait.
Another sign seen on Rt 3 while taking the commuter bus to NYC for the York Motel, a genuine Notell Motel if you know what I mean...
"Reach Out And Touch Someone.
Here.
Hourly Rates"
The hotel sign is pretty hilarious! Thanks for sharing! Loved the ones you guys have posted, too. It's pretty interesting what gets put on signs. Church signs are another interesting thing to study...saw one while we were on our trip that said "He who sows discontent reaps trouble." Ain't that the truth!
Driving through Indianapolis years ago there was one painted on the side of a building advertising "Goat Ribs & Sandblasting" I hope they at least kept the two operations separate.

How about a couple I saw in Nashville " speed humps" and a 7 mph zone
When we were somewhere in New England the speed bumps/humps were referred to as "traffic calming" ahead...CALMING??? Those things drive me nuts! The other difference we've noticed in road signs in different states has been what traffic circles are called..."circles" in one state are "rotaries" in another but "roundabouts" elsewhere--and the right of way varies in different states...sometimes it's the one in the circle that has to yield, othertimes it's the one entering. How about some uniformity?!
Thats great...OMG I I want a T-shirt with that on it...lol There is a local honey wagon that has "yesterdays meals on wheels" on the back of the tank...I like yours better thou....
There is a traffic sign that says "Speed Limit 35 - Strictly Enforced" I'm always looking for the sign that says "Speed Limit 35 - But who cares"
In Michigan a sign was posted near a prison that said "Prison Area Do Not Pick Up Hitchhickers"
When I was little we would laugh at the kids who went to the school with a sign on the road in front of it that said "Slow School" we didn't have a sign like that at our school so we decided that only stupid kids went to this one.

Years ago, driving from Huntsville AL to Chattanooga TN, we drove through a small town in the hills. There on the side of the road was a shop that did small engine repair. Big sign out side said "MORE REPAIR".
When we were doing one of the wine trails in the NY Fingerlakes region, we came across both of these signs (the women's room sign was just as funny but I just couldn't get the picture right with the lighting). One of the Redneck Wines was Kiss My Blush. We had to buy Erags one of the Pompous shirts we thought they were so funny. They had Pompous doorags too but we thought they were overpriced and skipped them.
