All the Spyders are built this way. You should never use the negative jumper terminal connection to attach a ground wire...and you should never loosen it! It would be good if BRP put a warning tag there. You are not the first to discover this.

I also found never never land in my spyder, or at least my favorite #30 torx bit did.

I had the same problem but finally got the nut & bolt tightened back up. I found it easier to drill a small hole in the main frame and attach the pigtail ground there, than to try to get at the battery ground.
